US user here. It's about new chair time and I am finally in an area with approachable trails. I'd like to switch to front-wheel (eg Permobil F3, etc) so I can access them and am trying to think about upgrades I'd be willing to pay out of pocket for, especially with the complicated medicare/medicaid unbundling rules, I might have to go aftermarket. Outdoor-oriented tires and wheels might be one of them.

I understand why I'd want an upgrade on drive tires, but what about casters? Is there a reason they'd all have to match (like for autos)?

Also has anyone regretted getting a tire upgrade on a front-wheel power chair? My search turned up plenty of people who seemed to be happy they got one. A

I have just wasted so much time on reporting a shop for intellectual property theft. Their algorithm recommended the pattern to me and it looked like a designer's work that I'd already bought from, so I clicked on it and purchased. When I looked at it more closely, all my spidey senses were creeping out, so I went sleuthing and found it was directly ripped off from a designer that also shares free patterns. So I reported the theft with evidence, left a warning review for other shoppers, and then contacted Etsy for a refund. And those jerks forced me to interact with the pirate first, saying they could not issue a refund unless I try asking directly first. A pirate! For a refund!

For some reason (why???) steam cloud has ancient WoTR saves that download to my Steam\userdata\[]\1184370\remote folder instead of the usual Appdata folder and I cannot get rid of them. I have tried all the tricks I know to wipe cloud saves from Steam's server (using the steam console, deleting while in game, turning off cloud sync, deleting, then re-enabling, etc). But this manifest from 1184370\remote only seems to sync down, never up. Anyone have any ideas or will I have to live with the zombies cluttering up my drive in perpetuity

Hello, I have been returned to crochet for only about 5 years now, and I consider myself intermediate in skill. The yarnscape has changed a lot since I was a kid, both because of the reduction in brick and mortar stores, but also because I am now disabled and cannot hop in my car and drive 2 hours to reach the best shops! I am used to being able to speak with shop employees who are knowledgeable crafters themselves and often had personal experience with the yarns they sell. After a recent disappointing experience where a couple of gifts I made ended up with a very short lifespan due to my selecting subpar yarn online, I figured I'd ask everyone what they've learned for themselves--besides th

Hello, I recently crocheted these fingerless gloves, and I love the palm and thumb's inside texture so much that I thought I might even be able to tolerate them on my feet. So...I stuck one on my foot and then STEPPED ON IT. I walked a little too (or hobbled, I'm disabled). I didn't hate it! I might hate crocheting slippers/socks, but I'd like to try at least once. Just to wear around the house. But I want a pattern to use specifically FPDC in the feets, so I know I can step on it without going crazy. I'm also open to any other patterns whose stitches form a smooth and/or cushioned inside so I don't feel each and every

Hello, I have made a lovely no-join poncho, but I have noticed that when approaching one side of the center, I have created the illusion of an extra gap where there is none. The pattern for the center is 1DC in every stitch, sk 1DC, 2DC in chain gap, ch2, 2DC in same gap, sk 1DC, then 1DC in every stitch. I have made no errors following the pattern, yet no other pictures I've seen have this gap, so I assume it is my technique that is at fault. Too much tension on that side or something? What do you think? Here is a picture.

What's your weirdest RT dream?

Rogue Trader: Game and Story

I've been checking Steam every day so I don't miss the patch, which was my first mistake, but in my defense it's been raining a lot and hard to play outside. Anyway last night I dreamed that I crocheted Incendia a flame retardant hat. I think it was meant to be some sort of insult, because she definitely took it that way and declared war on Von Valancius for the next 100 years. I woke up feeling refreshed and like I stumbled on a canon-friendly outcome.

Hello, I was an adult when highspeed internet came out so don't tie me to a post and set me on fire please, but I was wondering what the etiquette is when you see a young designer who seems to be claiming that they invented a crochet stitch, and in fact are making it their entire identity, including for sales, when your grandma was using the stitch on face scrubbies in 1952? Like they're putting ™️ on the stitch name and everything, and, is it like broccoli in the teeth where you just agonize about whether or not the person wants to be told, then quietly go home and pretend you didn't see anything?

TLDR: my 2019 macbook pro won't turn on due to extensive water damage it received while logged in and running. I don't need data recovery, but I'm worried about unauthorized access after sending it in for recycling, because I can't reset the drive. Should I be?

Long version: Hello, I have completely and utterly trashed my 2019 macbook pro by tripping over my own two feet, which my mother assures me I've had since birth, and dumping 28oz of water directly onto the innocent keyboard. I pulled several muscles in my rush to unplug it and turn it off but I heard water blowing through the fans before I was able to. I did all the right things to dry it out, aside from tear the back off and disconn
