Do people have much luck getting invited to co-op after activating the Golden Idol and just wandering around? This should put your summon sign at any summoning pool, right? I tried doing this today and didn't have any luck.

I saw half a dozen 'blue circles' on the map, indicating that some people were looking for help. But never got an invite. Do I have to travel to each circle and use the finger item instead?

The pure stochastic terrorism of this bug is making me question my sanity. About 50% of the time I boot or wake up my computer, the operating system rolls a die to determine which USB port to disable. Most of the time, it is the monitor. But sometimes, it is the mouse or keyboard too.

Manually rebooting with the power button does not always fix the problem. Sometimes it just changes the USB port that fails next time. Of course, without a monitor, mouse or keyboard, I cannot actually do anything to investigate or diagnose the problem. Can't even get past the login page.

So far I have disabled USB Selective Suspend, and even disabled Fast Startup.

What were the devs smoking by making the console so hard to access in such a buggy game???

I downloaded and edited the STALKER2Tweak.ini file to set console = true.

Tilde doesn't work.

F10 doesn't work.

The Steam launch command to set the console to Home doesn't work.

What gives?

All I want to do is talk to the Duty mechanic who is standing 0.5 nanometers too far behind his desk with the stupid unecessary invisible wall around it...

Plug-in solar sounds great; I have a patio with the right exposure and an outlet right there. But looking online, I realize that I have no idea what to buy.

We are limited to 420W, and using that as a search term brings up some suspiciously small and cheap foldable panels. So how do you go about finding a decent product that isn't going to burn the house down with Temu-grade wiring?

The wanton laziness of Prime, Netflix and other streaming services is truly astounding. You could be streaming an old movie or show that broadcast on cable with closed captioning for 20 years, only for that to be jettisoned in favor of an AI subtitler with the English language comprehension of a Golden Retriever.

I especially like it when the subtitles try to capture the lyrics of the theme song, and make a different guess at the words in each episode. Even if the big streaming services don't care about basic accomodations for viewers with disabilities, you'd think they would remember that a double-digit percentage of subscribers with good hearing turn the subtitles on anyways...
