I’m curious how this works in the acting industry when someone becomes famous very quickly. Connor and Hudson became widely famous within weeks. Before the show blew up, they’d said they were paid very little and expected to go back to their waiting jobs after filming, and only didn’t because the show was so popular.

Since then, they’ve made appearances across North America and Europe. They recently carried the Olympic torch in Milan, Hudson walked the Dsquared fashion show, attended other fashion shows wearing very expensive clothing (Armani), and they both appeared at the Golden Globes, Vanity Fair events, and did interviews/shoots with Vogue, Vanity Fair, etc.

My questions:

Hey, I'm looking for a chess partner. I'm at 800 ELO so ideally someone in the 600 - 1000 range who wants to study and improve their game. Dm me if you're interested (please share your chess.com username so that I can see your game history). Thanks

Ps. I crossposted this a few minutes ago from r/chess but the original has been deleted. Not sure how crossposts work so I'm very sorry if this shows up twice

I gave the movie 2.5 stars because act 3 is the dumbest thing I've ever seen in my entire life.

I can't articulate why without sounding pompous and opinionated (and also because I lack the knowledge to explain what made it so bad).

And by that I mean, I don't understand psychology well enough to support my argument. I'll just list my thoughts here in the hopes that someone can untangle them for me. Thanks

  1. Oliver doesn't come across as the sort of guy who loves prestige or power so his motive for killing The Cattons makes no sense. He seems Pearl-like (minus the angry outbursts). He also reminds me of Nina from Black Swan and Mr. Reed from Heretic... Unstable for sure, but predictab

My little brother has developed an interest in space and aerospace engineering. He says that he wants to pursue it when he's older. I understand that his desire might change (and that's fine) but I'd like to support him through this phase with books about space and aerospace engineering.

Please recommend a few books or resources that I can gift him. Thank you.

Four more days!!

I just finished watching Nicole Kidman’s and Harris Dickinson’s (Variety) Actors on Actors episodes and let's just say that I'm more excited for Babygirl than I am for Christmas.

I really hope this lives up to my imagination.
