2008 Ford Taurus X. What is the trick to making sure connectors are at just the right angle to screw in correctly? It seems like the block has a teeny tiny angle to one side that the connector has to be at to screw in right.

I’m finding that one of the connectors (and of course it has to be the third one back) on the brake booster keeps wanting to cross thread just enough to be a hair loose enough for a leak.

(For what it’s worth I’m of the opinion tonight that whoever thought it would be a great idea to design brake connectors so they don’t self tap to the right angle so they seat right the first time around should be shot, drawn and quartered, and their soul burn in hell forever! -

I was recently diagnosed with CPAP (still haven't seen the report - sleep center is being stupid - I think they're trying to drag their feet because BCBS hasn't paid them yet). Doing research, I found that buying it myself is much cheaper than the DME would charge, so I bought direct online. I have a mask that the sleep center gave me when I got the study, and I also got a mask with the machine that looks much more comfortable.

So ... I'm unsure what to expect? I'm really looking forward to getting a good night's sleep for the first time in months, maybe years ...

Edit: C282Y. Not enough coffee yet this morning.

So, I got diagnosed last week (after spending the last two years feeling really lethargic and not knowing what was up) after my doctor ran iron numbers and came back with iron levels of 1100. The genetic test just came back yesterday with a single C282Y mutation, but the lab reading says that usually that’s associated with only being a carrier, and rarely developing HH. Doctor is referring me to hemotology/oncology to see if there’s something more going on.

I’m just now starting to learn more about this crazy thing - at the very least I finally have answers!

My question is what else would they be looking for? The doc ran a full blood pane

My FIL is getting to the point with his health (**NOT mental - more referring to a blood sugar or other incident**) where I am worried that it may not be advisable for him to keep his shotgun lying around. I'm going to be moving closer to him shortly, and filing for a FOID in the event that I need to transfer the gun to my ownership ("keeping it safe" for him ... he bought it several years ago out of nostalgia and has never actually gone hunting in ages). I'm not even sure his FOID is active anymore.

I understand that the state wants you to have a FOID and legally transfer the gun over, but what's the best way to handle it if things get to a point where I feel that it becomes necessary

After his 8th child is born. He says “doc, I need one of them vasectomy things!” The doctor says “ok you need to get an empty beer can and a firework”.

The redneck gathers the items and says “now what?” The doctor says “put the firework in the beer can, light it, and cover your ears.”

The redneck puts the firework in the beer can, lights it, puts the can between his legs and covers his ears ...

Edit: spelling correction (stupid phone)

And looks at the alligator shoes. “That much!! I’ll just go and get some myself!” she exclaims. “Good luck!” The clerk says.

Later that afternoon he sees the blonde down by the river pointing a gun at a huge alligator, so he stops to watch. She shoots the alligator and kills it, the struggles to pull it on to the shore, right next to three others, all on their backs. She flips it over, then screams in frustration “this one doesn’t have any shoes either!!”

Hi there. I just replaced the half shaft and wheel bearing on my 2012 Hyundai Accent, and the new axle nut I got was a castle style. The old one was a staked style. Hyundai parts lookup shows a castle nut, so it looks like maybe they changed styles?

So my question is this: being as the axle shaft has indentions for a stake, but no hole for a cotter pin, is proper torque enough to secure the axle nut, or do I need to hunt for a new axle nut? Should I apply red or blue loctite to keep things secured?

Thanks!

And spills some on his arm. He doesn’t think anything of it. A few minutes later, he lights a cigarette and his arm catches on fire. He stuck an itnout the window to try and put it out, to no avail.

A policeman sees him, pulls him over, and helps him out out the fire. Then he writes him a ticket.

Illegal transportation of a fire arm.

The last couple of weeks I’ve been having a real funk where I get started on my day, then get an interruption, and then I just can’t get back into work. It’s had me doing some really late nights trying to get something done, but it’s really annoying me, and the late nights certainly don’t help at all.

I’m not sure what to do to beat my brain into submission, but I’ve gotta do something quick. I guess this is the freelancers equivalent to writers block. Ideas?
