I'm planning to buy some 6 month Kiwi Bonds (NZ Treasury bonds) as a short term low risk savings vehicle. Has anyone had any experience with Kiwi Bonds? How was the process for purchasing the bonds and/or renewing them, and how long did it take? It looks like all that's really needed is to fill out and mail a one-page form to the specified address, and to perform the bank transfer itself. After the bonds have been purchased, is there a website or something to check up on their status?
