Since we’re doge-ing everything, can we doge the border CBP agents at midpoint of the bridge on the way back on foot?

Every single time I’ve crossed back, they aren’t really doing or haven’t done anything except side eye my credential and keep going about their conversation meanwhile using an AC to keep cool or a heater to keep warm. Like what’s their purpose? And yes I’ve crossed back many a time on foot and I really can’t see what their role is other than to eat up the tax payer dollar

Hola amigos! Busco un lugar que sea como una cafetería / bar donde el ambiente está tranqui y que no cierre hasta más noche (como 12 am) y tengo sillones, etc. alguien conoce un lugar así? Preferiblemente no tan lejos del puente tmb. Gracias 🙂

Hey El Paso, as the title says, looking for a spot where I can go and hang out that is kind of like a cafe where one could get nonalcoholic drinks but a beer if I feel like drinking. Preferably with a lobby that doesn’t close until late, like 12 am would be nice at least. Distance is not an issue, thank you!

I’ve been working remote and in almost near isolation for the last five years in the city I was born and raised. I recently went through a rough breakup and in the aftermath, I’ve realized that remaining here has resulted in me feeling extremely stagnant. Due to my line of work and the small population size, I feel very little hope when it comes to meeting someone new and there isn’t much to do in my city, so it’s left me feeling very depressed and hopeless in terms of new experiences.

I feel a change of scenery, though not guaranteed, could do me some good. I just don’t think remaining here will be really beneficial for me. Except that, maybe I’m over thinking or worrying about things I s

Hello, I’ll be in the Cancun / Cozumel / Tulum area this week and I’d really love to see and carry / take pics with macaws or even small monkeys. Is there anywhere in these areas anyone recommends where I could maybe do that?

Though I consider myself more democratic than not, truly I consider myself independent. I’ve always been interested in politics and followed national politics quite closely though not so much local politics, sadly. How could I go about getting more involved at the city level in any way? Any suggestions welcome, thanks 😊

When I went in I asked how much I’d be charged and they said they didn’t know and that I’d be billed later but not to worry about it because they were in network with my insurance. I saw the doctor for literally all of 10 minutes and received a shot of some medication I could’ve bought via a prescription for < $5. This morning I received a bill, after a hospital adjustment and my insurance covering a portion, I am left with a balance due of $1,718. There’s no way I’m going to pay that amount.

What are my options to have this absolutely fucking ridiculous amount of reasonably adjusted? Is there a point to seeing a lawyer? What happens if I just don’t pay?
