I'm using pfSense CE currently at home. Currently running it on a dedicated physical host. I'm looking to maybe virtualize it and run it on my two ESXi hosts. Can CE do HA in this scenario? I saw that in the comparison of CE vs Plus that CE can only do CARP with multicast and they say it can be problematic on virtualized scenarios.

I was thinking the setup would be:

Internet -> Managed switch -> untagged VLAN 99

ESXi host A and B would do WAN on VLAN 99

Could I create a separate VLAN\interface for the two ESXi hosts to then do multicast for the CARP setup vs relying on unicast that comes with +?

I wouldn't mind paying for a single pfSense+ license, but paying for two licenses e

I used rapid sweep last year during the storms and was hoping to sub to it again this year. I went to my account on RO and don't see it as an add-on anymore? Did they kill the feature or am I just missing it somehow?

I installed 2.5 containerized on rhel 9.5 and everything comes up. However, when i add a project with credentials for github the status stays at "pending" and never does anything. I've attached a few photos, any help appreciated!

Only thing I notice that may be weird is "control plane" and "default" instance groups show as unavailable and it says the capacity is 100%?

This is a brand new install on a vm with 40 gigs of disk 4 cores, and 16 gigs of memory per the documentation.

Not new to ansible, but new to AAP. Thanks!

I've been testing Notability as well as a few other note taking apps to see what works best for meeting notes. It looks like most the apps besides One Note it looks like organization is "notebook" based. Since I'm going to use this at my job to take meeting notes which can bounce between different areas, and I was wondering how people are organizing such notes? Notebooks seem great for lecture and the like, but more difficult for meeting style notes.

I could break it down by project, but then I'd see endless pages of notes for that project, and while apps like Nebo does a great job of searching my handwritten text, being able to tag pages or something like that would be helpful. One Note's

It seems like once the Oasis Mini connects to WiFi it has to maintain it's connection or it needs a reset. I have multiple APs in my house that support roaming\load distribution, so it may occasionally de-auth\tell a client to move. When this happens to the mini it seems like it can't recover. I just ran a test on my AP with this client where it sends a deauth packet, and the mini never attempted to reconnect. Anyone else seen this?

I have a new sonos setup with a new samsung s90d feeding content from an Apple TV 4K. I have the sonos wired via eArc and set to passthrough. During some content it kind of sounds like a micro stutter in the audio where for a fraction of a second the audio cuts. It's very short. Sonos and apple tv are hooked up via wireless.

It's frustrating I can't seem to replicate it. Anyone have any ideas?

Currently running my PMS on a poweredge server. I'm looking to transition to 4k content, but some of my clients can't handle direct stream 4k and my server can't get a GPU in it, so I'm looking for alternatives.

I saw the n100 could do a few 4k streams, but how is it with 4k and tone mapping? Realistically worst case it would be 3-4 tone mapped 4k streams. Realistically more like one transcode and 2-3 direct stream clients. Not afraid to spend a little more to make sure I have some buffer, and coming from a reliable poweredge, I don't want something that's finnicky. Thanks!

Anyone removed the top housing on the new s8 max v yet? I got the front two screws in the front of the turret, but there are these bigger white caps that seem to go down into the machine and I can't figure out how to get those off to get access to the motor. Just got the "turret can't spin" error and wanted to get that cap off so that I could clean it up, but have been flummoxed. Here is one of the caps i'm talking about:

Hopefully this post is ok. Long story short we got a refurb z10 which doesn’t come with WiFi connect. We also just got a cool control and we would like to integrate it with the machine which requires WiFi connect. Looks like everywhere is sold out and the ones that do have it are doubling the price. If anyone has a machine that uses WiFi connect (white not blue smart connect) and wants to sell it let me know! Thank you!
