Afyer moving frequently for the last seven years, now that I've bought a house and plan to stay here for a while, I'd like to go big with the decorating. I live across from a cemetery, so I want to build on that inherent spookiness. At the same time, this is a still-used cemetery (as in, there are a few burials a year) so I don't want to seem disrespectful.

Unfortunately, last year I had to throw away most of my decorations because a lizard crawled into the container and died, impregnating the decorations with the smell of death. (RIP little dude.)

Since I'm starting from scratch, I want to be strategic. I'm planning to spend a few $100 USD on discounted decor this year. Where would you st

Sometimes I feel like scrubbing my dogs' stainless steel bowls with Dawn dish soap doesn't cut it and I can still smell that smell (I hate that smell). Is there something else/something stronger I should be using on those? Or something I can soak them in for times when I'm not able to scrub them right away? I'd love any ideas. Thanks!

I got labs last week for an appointment with my pcp today and didn't find out until yesterday that my doctor only ordered TSH (5.28) and and free T4 (1.2) and then wrote a comment, "Consider testing TPO." Should I ask for a retest of both, plus free T3? How often should my TPO be tested (I've had a Hashi's diagnosis for over ten years), and why would my doctor "consider" it? Thanks in advance for any insight!

Hello! My family and I (four of us) have played Walkabout for a few hours every weekend for the last 2 or 3 years. One member of our party suggested we add a new VR game into the rotation. Does anyone have any suggestions? Requirements: Not super difficult or technical, no shooting games. Something sort of relaxed that allows us to chat while we play would be nice, but not a requirement. Maybe soemthing with puzzles, or escape room-like, or opportunities to explore different places/worlds. Any ideas? Thank you!

I'm trying to get my friend into the PWHL, but he's pretty new to hockey. Any games from this season that made you think "Wow, that was an exciting game!" that I should show him? Bonus if the Fleet are playing in it, since he lives in the Boston area. Thank you!

For context, as a child, I slept in a lofted bed about 4 feet off of the ground. It had a 2-foot gap with a ladder leading down to the floor, but otherwise the loft was surrounded by a 2-foot railing. This loft was in the corner of my room, 12 feet away and across from my bedroom door.

I've never been known to sleepwalk. But one night, when I was eight years old, I woke up in mid-air, sailing towards the other end of my room. My parents were woken up not by my cries but by the sound of my body crashing into and rattling the door.

The only explanation I can come up for landing so far from the loft is that I launched myself off the ladder in my sleep, but that still would have been an impres

Hi folks! It's hot as tofuballs where I am and I have no AC which means I do not want to turn on the oven/stove on if possible. What are your favorite recipes that require no cooking (or maybe just a little microwave/air fryer action)? I want to add a little variety to my summer meal rotation.

Some things I've been having a lot are taco salad, sandwiches (tofu pesto, chickpea salad, deli "meat," etc.), garbage charcuterie boards (not actually garbage, just chunks of bread, veggies, and dips made out of whatever is left over at the end of the week), and pasta salads. For most of my non-dinner meals I have smoothies, so my freezer is mostly full of fruits. Any suggestions?

r/Asthma•

Hi all. I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow and I'm not sure if I should ask my doctor if it''s worth looking into whether I have asthma. Sorry this is long - I have read lists of asthma symptoms but I am not good at feeling what is going on in my body and I also have anxiety (especially anxiety about doctors) so I am worried it's all in my head or that my breathing related symptoms are just from anxiety or allergies. Or that my doctor is going to think I'm a hypochondriac (or just a weenie) and what I'm experiencing is normal.

I am 30 years old and I do have some asthma-like symptoms: difficulty breathing when exercising (even at points in my life when I am more fit and the exercise isn

I want to preface this by saying my wedding was awesome and everything else went really well, which really highlights how terrible this vendor was.

For context, our wedding was in a state park in a stone pavilion. The challenge with this location was that the pavilion had very little parking, so we decided to have a shuttle service. The other complication was the road to the pavilion goes through a one-lane, 10' tall tunnel. My in-laws offered to coordinate and pay for this vendor, so I wasn't involved in most of the communications but I did make sure the shuttle company knew about the tunnel and confirmed they had a shuttle that would fit. The plan was for the shuttle to pick people up a
