Are you like me? Would you rather watch The Re-Animator, Zaat, Black Christmas or R.O.T.O.R. than painfully sit through the latest Marvel release?

I've looked into it and there just might be a way to start a club and rent an actual theater to screen these fun movies without going broke. Basically starting a simple Not for Profit Society, gathering volunteers and negotiating with venues and film licensing companies (licensing "bad" movies is very cheap) and charging a basic admission to offset any costs. I know there is an annual festival but I'd like to do this on the regular.

Might seem a bit of a lofty idea at first but these groups exist in cities all over the world. I suppose until th

I have a 2002 Saturn that still runs but needs coolant system repairs and winter tires. It doesn't seem worth the cost/effort to repair so I'm looking for ways to dispose of it and maybe reclaim some cash for it. Not really looking for a trade in. Scrap it Program? Some sort of charity donation?

This is as good of an explanation as any:

The "game" is really about being able to spot all the worn-out drug and pop-culture references. I found quite a few. Some might be reaching and some I could have completely missed.

Here are the references I immediately keyed into:

The windowless, underground, FBI office: X-Files (Mulder's office). Drinking coffee and solving crimes in a small American town - Twin Peaks.

The "lesbian or not" angle - Mulholland Drive (in the movie, the protagonist believes she's a lesbian but it's all a dream).

The singer in the bar - again, very David Lynch, could be Twin Peaks or Lost Highway.

The brick - PInk Floyd's "Another Brick in the Wall"

Anyone remember this old guy, 70+, kinda short, who would sing powerful, beautiful arias on the bus? Early - mid 2000s?

I heard him a few times and would actually delay getting off at my stop to hear him finish.

He was either a professional who rode the bus a lot or a really, really good amature. Smartphones didn't exist back then so I doubt there's any video. He tended to get off the Broadway bus at Kingsgate Mall.
