Hi guys! Thinking back on my CGC and AKC Community Canine evaluations from earlier this year has me feeling weird about my experience with this evaluator. I guess I’m just wondering what you all think?

Let’s start with the first time we met- my CGC eval. My dog is a service dog in training so when I saw that this CGC evaluator was a dog trainer whose site mentioned working with service dogs I reached out right away! On the day of our CGC test I didn’t feel quite so sure.

I was diagnosed with sleep apnea four years ago and have been happy with my cpap ever since- for the most part. no one likes tubes and gear on their face, and I struggle with executive function so keeping up with cleaning my device is a struggle. I’m wondering if my english lab has sensitive skin or allergies! she’s had no issues up until the last month or so (she’s 2, but this is my first summer with her.) she’s got significant acne/bumps on her chin and had some on her reproductive area which are clearing up well. she’s also been scratching/itching herself frequently

what tests/investigation will a vet do if I bring her in? do you guys have food/supplement/OTC recommendations? (she’s currently on Purina Pro Plan complete essentials salmon)

so about 8 years ago I went to a dentist who turned out being pretty questionable. I am missing a few of my teeth (nothing happened, they just never existed. genetic thing?) so he said that a fix involving braces would also require implants and sold me on a much easier solution.

now I have porcelain crowns covering a few of my teeth to fill gaps. this guy’s work was pretty shoddy, leaving a bunch of unique shapes, rough edges, and even exposing what is left of my original, shaved down tooth in some places. it was a painful and expensive mess so, while my current dentist has been talking about making plans to fix them, Ive been putting it off primarily for financial reasons

I never pictured myself having a lab! Of course I wanted a more “interesting” breed. Now that I’ve got my girl I can absolutely see why this breed is so highly regarded, especially for service work. Her temperament is absolute gold and she is such a steady presence even and especially when I’m struggling. I look forward to a lifetime of labs <3

Hi! My lab and I are gearing up for a couple shows where we’ll be competing in Novice rally for the first time. She heels beautifully when she’s focused and all of her finishes are great- I’m really proud of her (and myself! This is my first attempt at dog sports and my first time training a dog anything beyond “the basics” or simple tricks.) The issue I’m running into is keeping her energized and on task.

She is very food driven, and not toy driven at all. She’s a very calm and sensitive dog who doesn’t get overexcited about much. I trained heel using a food lure that I held in my left hand, and it’s fading that lure that’s become the issue. Her focus duration varies a lot when I’m not ho
