I've been thinking about a second army all year and am 90% down for Custodes. Prices isn't the big issue, it's more the limited space / time available.

With yesterdays reveal I just wondered: get some Old Combat Patrol boxes (110 EUR each) or hold out a little longer for the new? Or mix of both maybe.

with what we know (very limited) would getting the old box still be a good investment?

I'll be playing Knights (1450 points) vs a mate. Last time I crushed him (he gave up turn 2) , so I want to focus on an army that survives and does actions over killing his troops.

so I'm not taking any C'tan (even tough that would be awesome vs Knights).

My current thoughts is outlasting him:

* All 4++ (Warrios with Orikan - Lychguard with Overlord)

* Monolith and Tesseract Vault

I just don't know what mission is the better pick: (I presume he'll do Purge anyway)

* Hypercrypt Reconnaisance --> Triangulation

* Obeisance Phalanx + Disruption --> Delaying action

* Starshatter + PRiority assets --> Vita Link

It's the end of the edition and I have not used my Titanic units in any game. Now the reason is because they are just not good at this point in the edition (we can only hope for 11th).

But I still want to field them for a friendly/fun game, knowing it won't do well.

In a 2k game preferably with Monolith - Tesseract Vault - Obelisk in my army:

• what would be the best detachment to field them?

I could maybe leave Obelisk out , pick Deceiver C'tan so the Vault isn't blown up turn 1. but I would love to field at least 2 Titanic units for fun.

PS: my opponent will be aware of my list since it's friendly and he has 3 armies (Sisters - Wolves - knights (1k only for the last one))

I'll be playing against a friend soon (we play once a month) normally it's either vs Sisters or Marines. But he wants a 1K game so he can bring his new army (that I know will be knights)

I had prepared for a bigger force bringing 1 C'tan, to try the new detachments. I really want to make it a fun game for both but I don't know how to do that with only 1k points and still feel fair. Has anyone fought Knights at 1K before?

Playing a friend who just finished his wolves for 2k points. Last game at 1.5k I tabled him quickly with lots of shooting and a c'tan. I don't want a repeat of that plus I'm trying to be play more fun lists instead of just kill and shoot (while wraiths hold primary).

I want to be holding points and make him think about actions. Most games is him rushing into my Doomsday Arks and if he fails the charge the game is quickly done. So limited big guns and more aimed at outlasting him, showing a different win condition.

Options: Hypercrypt with Tesseract Vault and monolith together or one of them. Just teleporting with infantry support.

My current resin printer Flash forge Foto 8.9 is aging. Spare parts are hard to find and I'm on a crossroad:

Go for FDM printer for bigger stuff and hope my Resin keeps going another year for the average miniature. OR Upgrade the Resin printer towards a bigger size (anycubic M7 Max or equivalent depending on sales) , but requiring also a bigger wash&Cure station.

I'm willing to spend about 750 - 800 for a new printer.

I'm mostly printing Warhammer stuff and my limiting factor is build size (terrain or Titanic units).

The Catacomb command barge does not have either Noble or Overlord keyword. As such it does not benefit from Obeisance phalanx rule (+1 to wound).

Is there any FAQ that they clear this up?

I'm trying a flavour build and a fast melee ship would help greatly, but without the +1 would or any enhancements fitting it seems like a wasted slot.

So after repeated mails too Flashforge without feedback and not finding any seller who has stock left I guess I'll have to scrap my Flashforge Foto 8.9 because there aren't any more FEP sheets available.

It sucks that it works well and I replaced the resin vat this summer thinking I would get years more printing out of it.

Unless somebody knows a good replacement that fits the resin vat?

What do you guys suggest will be the victory music for each faction?

I'm mainly a Necron player, but I want a second army.

The vehicle focus, tough to kill models and general theme (attrition, plagues to weaken) of Nurgle are very cool.
