My grandpa made a table and he is wondering how he can make it more stable.
reddit.com/r/BeginnerWoodWorking/comments/1e7...Returning home from Hawaii, overnight, and have two realistic options for first class. Neither are the full Polaris setup, but these seem to be the best choices I can find for any airline that covers LIH->DEN.
- 757-200 "Polaris" ~7 hr. I know it's called Polaris and has the lie-flat seats, but is only half considered Polaris because it's not the full service. That, and shared aisle access. Also, only aisle seats are available, so it's possible someone needs me to move in the middle of the night
- 777-200 first class in the 2-4-2 configuration with a layover in KOA. The long leg is still ~7 hours.
Other constraints
- traveling with a +1, sitting near is important

By hero I mean the developer that put in a crazy amount of effort to meet a deadline. Or make an otherwise doomed feature land. Or respond to an incident. One way or another, a hero saves the day.
I always go back and forth on this, but my question is: "are software heroes a good or bad thing?" Should we be thankful for these people, or should we be sorry when they are perpetually needed? Both?
I've seen many times where heroes are praised when they bail out poor planning. When that happens, the poor planners (typically some form of management) are reinforced in their behavior and not encouraged to correct it.

Some details on our setup:
- Pottery barn entertainment center
- Would prefer to have LCR speakers in the cabinet, but I'm open to feedback. LR outside the ca
I finally got around to swapping out my CenturyLink modem for my EdgeRouter-X, and got PPPoE setup and verified. I didn't use basic setup but mostly used the UI. Within the CLI, I can successfully ping and clone google.com so it appears to be working well.
My configuration matches settings I found here: https://www.reddit.com/r/Ubiquiti/comments/9eu1g8/centurylink_fiber_pppoe_edgerouter_x_question/e5t6cms?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share&context=3
From a computer on my LAN, I can resolve DNS fine (makes sense, because the server is my EdgeRouter-X on 192.168.1.1), but can't reach the internet at all. I confirmed this for icmp, tcp and udp.
I'm guessing there's some invalid
