I kind of stumbled into my current career about 10 years ago after doing a bit of everything before that — retail, F&B, call center, etc.

I’ve been with the same company (private sector, education-adjacent) for the last decade and had a few promotions along the way:

  1. Started as an admin assistant
  2. Promoted after ~2 years to executive assistant, supporting 2 senior executives
  3. Promoted again after ~2 years to executive coordinator, supporting those same execs plus the broader leadership team

I’m in my 40's and I’d honestly assumed this was probably where I’d plateau — not in a bad way, just realistically. I figured this was about as high as I could go in my current organization unl

Hi r/CarltonBlues!

Just renewed (7 years now and counting) and yet another year where the $25 voucher code is of no use to me. All I want is the pin, but they'd be charging me $37 dollars just for the int'l shipping fees alone, so again won't be using my voucher...

Hate for the voucher to be unused so will share to anyone who would actually use it and buy some things.

PM me.

Cheers!

Hi r/CarltonBlues!

Yet again another year where the voucher code is of no use to me. All I wanted was the consecutive year pin and it's costing $45 to ship to Singapore. Which is ridiculous.

Hate for the voucher to be unused, so if you plan to buy some stuff, I'll give the code to the first person who replies.

Cheers!

Career/Job Offer advice

Hi Reddit, I find myself in a lucky (?) position where for the first time I was headhunted/contacted directly for a position. I know there's mixed reactions/reviews with recruiters and this is my first interaction with one. I think for the type of work, it's not usually headhunted? Or more so, I guess I reached a certain level of experience, where I'm in a small pool now, and can be "in demand". So I'm trying not to get too ahead of myself, and also reigning in my expectations. At this point, I'm all "big eyes and Wow", but I'm also thinking, work safety, mental health, work life balance. Things that you can't put a dollar sign to replace. I have a linkedin profile,

As the title states.

Are my medical prescription information accessible to another doctos/clinics?

Context. I was on a prescription med which my doctor told me to pause and to recheck in 3 months to start it again. Ever since I stopped all my symptoms came back full on. I'm not happy and not pleased why my doctor stopped it in the first place especially when things were looking up. The main rationale being it has addictive qualities. Fair enough. But everything was basically undone when I stopped. And it's been frustrating to see so much improvement to just have it undone.

I'm thinking of going to another doctor for a second opinion and to get that prescription back started.

Are my med

Anyone having any issues?

I had no problems viewing all the pre show (separate) link, but when I click to go to the actual game link, it's frozen at 12:53 (countdown) link. Refreshed, restarted.....no go. Wondering if it's overloaded with viewers....hoping this gets sorted asap.

Hey r/Singapore,

I know this question/request for tips seems super "first world problem", but here I am.

For the past 6 weeks, I've been helping out a friend and cat/house sitting while they are overseas, so I've been staying at my friends condo, which of course comes with it's condo perks.

I've been taking advantage of said perks and have been heading to the pool any chance I get and honestly, it's been great. It's done wonders for my mental health (I'm serious), that and I've been getting some sun and a little exercise at the same time. What I like about a condo pool setting, is it's not like a public pool (like just a rectangular pool and you do laps and that's it), but it's where you

Hi r/cats,

Would love some insight or just opinions of those who might've been in a similar circumstance.

I have/had 2 cats. Correction, I have 2 cats who live with my dad. So he takes care of them. My dad is retired, so he spends A LOT of time at home, and honestly I'm glad he has the companionship of these furbabies to keep him busy. There is not one day that goes by where he isn't texting me a pic of the cats and whatever it is they are up to.

About 6 months ago, one of them passed. He was just about 8 years old, so not senior but not young either. Kidney failure. It got bad. Really bad, drastic weight loss, he was essentially immobile. I visit my dad just about every other week. I tr

Hi everyone,

Long time lurker here, always in awe and inspired by the progress pics that are shared here. I don't have one to share just yet (not confident, haven't actually taken a Day 1 'before' pic yet either).

I'm on week 6 of my IF journey.

Like most "new year, new me" mentality, and somehow it's still sticking.

I'm currently on day 50 of having cut all coffee, sodas, sweet drinks. Purely water only. This is the longest I've ever lasted when I tried to do a "water only" habit. I'm actually quite surprised myself honestly. The first couple weeks were the hardest, out of habit mostly, craving my sugary coffee, or my chilled soda at night after a work day. But I've actually been quite

I was recently promoted at my work....."by default" (how I see it)

I work in a large, complex organization, many layers, hierarchy, bureaucracy the works.

I work specifically, with the #1 & #2 of the organization, the biggest cheeses of the organization as they say.

I use to be the PA of the #2, and there was another PA for the #1.

For simplicity I will name my (now) ex-colleague PA1.

PA1 was in that role for less than a year, over-qualified, but also completely under-qualified for the role. A more senior "ex-corporate world director level person" who decided to be the more laid back "working mom" and took an "easy" PA1 role. So she thought.

She came in with a huge attitude pr

Like many, was shocked and disappointed to see Gibbons delisted.

I was curious what his next move will be.

I'm still quite the noob of the workings of free agency, supplemental draft, other clubs picking up delisted players. I assumed (since I saw other delisted players being picked up) that he would have been picked up elsewhere, but have not seen any news.

So what happens now when a player gets delisted? And can't get picked by a club to play at AFL level, does he just go back to VFL? Smaller leagues? Retire footy altogether?

I'm still rather bitter we wont see him play again in the blues. He was my favourite player out there.
