Windows 11, PG32UQX, 4090 graphics card connected through DP.

Have a second monitor connected by HDMI which doesn’t have an issue

It doesn’t happen with any sort of set frequency. The switching modes is something the monitor does when you change SD to HDR so it’s a monitor feature, but what I can’t work out is why it doesn’t happen it when everything is already setup and working in HDR

Tried new cables. Tried disabling what I can in GForce. Looked for any system errors or logs. I can’t find anything or find a way to stop it

Anyone else have any ideas?

I think the general idea now is to wait for the 5000 series, but given where I live (China) and the import restrictions, getting the top end cards is an issue.

The question is, is it worth getting old stock full 4090 now or waiting to see what happens. The Chinese 4090D card is quite a downgrade from the standard card. Chinese tend to use PC's so the full 4090 is still caught after and costs around $2700 for a ROG STRIX.
