Before you start out and shove your bar mitzvah money into 500 anime shirts, stop.

Chances are, you aren’t ready.

I started my clothing brand, Refracted, 3 years ago and have sold out two drops. Only now, at my third drop could I (semi-)confidently say that I have a clothing brand.

Most people just have a hodge podge of apparel. To truly craft a brand, you MUST develop something cohesive and recognizable with real intent. If you don’t have a plan or identity, you are nothing more than your individual clothing pieces. You might find temporary success, but you won’t have staying power or a lasting following.

Now you can figure out the logistics of starting a brand from any google search. H
