I (16M) am not the most interesting person, and I have been told by many that I’m very quiet. I’m also not very emotional or attractive. However, quite a lot of people like me a lot. My old school friends still like me a lot, and people I used to work with (who were quite a bit older than me) liked me. I know this a bit of an odd question, and I’m not seeking validation or compliments or anything, but I genuinely don’t get why people like me.

I (16) feel like a different version of myself when I interact with others. I am not very talkative, and I don’t know how to start a new conversation. I’m constantly careful about what I say incase it is affects me or others in the future. I don’t like telling people about myself. I have never trusted anyone. I struggle to truly like people because I think that people dislike others by default. I don’t know how to be myself.
