Spent last night from 2PM to 2AM, my previous time was an RIP Tour in 2022. This time I stacked Early Entry and an Express Pass since I was going with my dad and he didn't want to bite on Express, and he hasn't actually been to Universal since Jaws was around, but also he planned on not sticking it out all night. (I mean, fair! I've got approximately 30 years less years' strain on my knees.)

I just have some general offbeat observations:

* I really like the queue ticket system. It's not perfect, but in reality all security contains some part theater, and people generally respected the queue I think because of it. I also ended up jumping out to pee once while waiting for an hour for Sinn

So a Lodestone post went out that said they went and updated the FFXIV Materials Usage License, which is essentially "here's how you're allowed to use FFXIV stuff." As stated, they certainly added a ton of physical goods changes, but also made some changes across the board that are worth noting.

I'm using an Internet Archive link as a point of comparison.

Let's start with the "Guidelines for Creation of Physical

See title. It's my closest and easiest one.

There were no exceptions listed, and based on past discussions I found on Google, it was valid in previous iterations.

I'm milking this. Anyone else around here manage to snag it?

I keep telling myself I'm gonna hit more riddim/tearout stuff and I don't. I went to two SD shows, and honestly the second time I mostly went for Yvm3, then I went to Eptic last summer and had a blast. Saw Zingara and Wooli last summer too, they didn't do it for me.

What are some good starting points for artists and DJs closer to that metal end of the spectrum?

Also wondering about shows and stuff in NYC, too, if anyone's around here! I follow RiddimNYC but would love to see what other promoters to follow.

Figured some prop nerds would love this. Official page says it includes:

– Puppetry Post Show Q&A

– Puppetry Exhibit Pre-Show

– Special Ticket Rates

– Welcome Gift Bag

– Disney Merchandise Offer

– Partner Offers

Tickets seem to start at $106.75 after fees for far back mezz seats. I'm not getting paid, it got advertised to me, and I just figured this would interest someone.

I don't want to wait in line for an hour for farm-to-underwashed-Taylor-machine yogurt with toe-picked toppings from mysterious foreign European farms.

I want mass-produced mid-tier frozen yogurt chains with cream from cardboard boxes, and "small businesses" with horribly-crushed Oreos and Sysco sprinkles that look more like money laundering operations.

If we're bringing back 2008's best fad, I'd rather spend $12 on ridiculous by-the-pound nonsense. I will fill half of that goddamn cup with shitty generic whipped cream and top it with cherries until the preserve juice dyes it all red.

Flame wars about songs. Not about the content itself per se, just, "wHy dO aLl tHe nEwgENs liKe tHiS sLoP?"

Some of y'all need to just sit down and let others enjoy things. Stop letting the need to comment on every thing that isn't your vibe. Go crawling for some more producers if you don't like what you hear in the mainstream, that's the charm of Vocaloid. Bully YouTube's algorithm into pushing you songs that have less than 5,000 views.

If you really need a kick start for finding new producers, vgperson still does her monthly Vocaloid Highlights list.

Long story short, my activity wasn't showing up (I primarily use it to show SoundCloud).

In classic tech support style, I went to log out and log back in via the Chrome in-browser little module thingy. Not the Discord one, the official plugin menu that you get when you click it on your bar.

In clicking that, I discovered that Discord and PreMiD apparently had just disconnected without indicating such. Keep in mind, it was showing as logged in.

So I had to log back in.

It didn't even log out for me to log back in, it it just works again now.

Woo? So, yeah, I guess try that if you're here to try to figure out that head-scratcher.

Hi! I have an ATR2100X that's been excellent, but after I snagged the USB-C cable it hasn't been taking in microphone input.

I was thinking about sending it out to the Audio-Technica team to get it repaired off-warranty - has anyone done this successfully? How much did it cost? I'm trying to figure out if I should just eat the cost of a new microphone instead, either a new model altogether or just hunting down the same one (after delivery, ~$120).

Dammit, dammit, dammit, I should know much better
Every instinct works to get a grip of my morality
Darling, baby, darling
I'm ready to throw it all away
Your love is perfect beyond philosophy

You could kill me easy with those lil' eyes
Could it be illegal? Give another try
Makin' me just lose it, crazy how it's movin'
Long as you're alive you're a danger to me

All the yearning in me makes me wanna die
Burnin' burstin' and it's boomin' and my head is gonna fly
Til my passion bursts outta my veins, and pull
IRIS OUT

And I don't feel normal about it all
Grow-ing deep in my gut, it all
Caramelizing sweetness 't

I'm not saying it's the best bakery in the city by any means, but it really has everything going for it, between the perfect location, great goods, great sizes for the prices, and the weekday specials, which are usually what gets me in when I happen to be in the area.

More to my thoughts, it's especially really nice to have a charming non-alcoholic joint that's not a full-on "meal" open until midnight reliably, 1am on the weekends. I went to an early dance show that ended at 10pm recently and was able to just sit down with my roommate and get a post-event treat to recharge for the train home.

I get the labor and logistical hells around it, but if there were more of these joints around Ma

A lot of MIDI synths have some "smart" features on it, but it's really not much different than a really good guitar synthesizer at the core of what it's meant to do.

Just wanna put that out there since people are having trouble distinguishing or explaining stuff. Some learning models that extrapolate voices probably do count as the "AI" thing, but that's not inherently what a lot of these vocal synthesizers that are used in these communities are.

AI is overused marketing slang anyway.
