Pipe access below sink

home improvement

The kitchen water supply pipes run through an unheated crawlspace without any way to access, and In the winter the pipes freeze during the coldest nights.

I'm trying to get access to the spot beneath the sink so I could insulate the pipes there. Could I just cut though the bottom of the sink cabinet and leave an access panel there afterwords or is that a crazy thing to do?

Thanks!

I am trying to get started in a career that is not 100% desk work, and saw my community college has an associates and a certificate program for facilities maintenance. I'm thinking that could be a good start to a new career, whether that is in maintenance for the long haul or eventually specializing in a trade.

I'd prefer to just get an entry level position and learn that way, but getting my foot in the door has been difficult. Does this seem like a good plan?

Hi all, I am 30 and trying to get started in the trades. The community college near me has a few programs I'm interested in. I would probably be working part or full time in the field to gain experience while I attend classes.

In particular I am considering the Facilities Management or HVAC associates programs.

Is getting an associates degree like this worth the investment? Looking for advice.

Thank you!

I am at a pivot point in my career and need some guidance. I have a BS in computer science with 5 years of experience, but I am miserable sitting at a desk all day. Hybrid work and project switching help, but in the end I always burn out within a year or two. I was laid off earlier this year and am taking the opportunity to find a career that better suits me.

One option would be to do some kind of IT job that gets me on my feet. I see desktop technicians/support folks for offices and college campuses walking around at least some of the day. Or maybe at a datacenter?

Another idea is to go into the trades. I have a formal education with electronics, and have been looking at doing an apprenti

In my area (Pittsburgh, PA) the IBEW apprenticeship program appears to be for construction only. I'd much prefer service work, but its unclear how to get started outside the IBEW.

Do I need to start taking an training program or go to trade school first? Or should I just start applying for electrician companies first?

Hello all! I have two cats, Neo and Ziggy. I've had Neo for about 2 years, she is a very anxious cat. Ziggy for about 8 months. They have been living happily with each other for about 6 months now.

This morning I woke up to yowling from Neo I have never heard before, who was being followed around closely by Ziggy. After separating the two I found poop and urine in front of her entrance under the bed: her safe space where she hides when scared. After separating them, Neo was constantly smelling the spot and pacing around.

Neither of them have ever gone outside the litter box, and were happy as could be just last night. What could be happening?
