I get so confused when I have the regular "DnD Focus mode" on (to not be disturbed by loud sounds at night and early morning) and keep missing texts EVEN AS I'M actively using the phone.

I understand some people can be bothered by the notification banners themselves (even when they make no sounds), but there should be a way to let them through, right?

So far I tried:

  • Regular DnD Focus Mode: doesn't work, as it hides all notifications to the Notification Center, so I miss most replies, eg. when chatting to a person while actively using the phone for other things. (The only solution seems to be constantly checking the Notification Center (or the chat app) for new messages.)

Hello guys, I'm a long time Hennessy (Explorer Zip) user thinking about upgrading.

My main reasons for the BB, frankly, is mainly the shelf, as I constantly lose my stuff in my Henny (despite various organizers on the ridge line). Secondarily, I hope to get some more room and comfiness. And lastly, I'm looking for a bit of a weight saving and added rain protection (been using the stock diamond tarp so far). The neat buckle suspension is a nice bonus (compared to the rather clunky Hennessy straps).

I've watched many videos about the XLC but I still have a few areas which are not completely clear to me:

  • How comfortable is it to enter and exit the hammock routinely from the side where the

Had this sauce in a restaurant last week - it's a slightly fancier take on Chicken Paprikash: an onion-based sauce, with sour cream, some flour and stock. (And of course loads of paprika.)

It's my fave recipe to make at home but I think I've never achieved this nice, sparkling, oily pattern on top (the small red oily specks, not the green splash of olive oil). Almost reminds me of certain thai red-curry sauces in this respect, where the oil separates like this from the coconut milk.

Is it the cream they've used? (I myself typically use run of the mill creme fraiche, 36% fat.)

Or are they simply heavy handed with the oil (lard) and somehow whisk it in skillf

Some time ago I saw this video from the Alex ('the French Guy') where he shows an interesting way to steam (not boil) rice without any special equipment. (Rice with equal amount of water in a bowl; bowl set in pot with some water on the bottom and a tight lid; water in pot creates steam and cooks the rice. 20 min cooking time + 10 min resting.)

As someone who doesn't much enjoy having single-purpose utensils in the kitchen and thus haven't still made the jump to a rice cooker, I was curious if this new method could actually make my life easier. And boy it did!

The fact that you don't have to control the heat nor wash the pot is a godse

so i saw this video, about last week, with a guy presumably in slopestyle (i think) doing a weird jump where he starts by going backwards basically standing on the tips of his skis, with the skis being visibly bent by his weight. in the end he transitions into a (back) flip?

what's this trick? i think it was called something like grunhilde or gretchen or... gah, can't remember. help me out ;).

I get that the absence of a cabin and support systems does have some some impact on the overall design, but it doesn't seem to explain all the weirdly angled stabilizers, squished fuselage, sharp angles etc. (see MQ-9, MQ-25)

And that's even when compared to classical modern fighters like the F-35. Or is it that even these modern fighters are actually pretty old and would be shaped differently if they were built from scratch today?

i read both texts for yagluth (one at his altar, the other in the starting area) quite carefully and still had zero idea what the offering was.

this combined with the fact that even after ransacking four or five fuling villages i hadn't bumped into a single fuling totem meant that the yagluth puzzle seemed completely impossible to do.

i tried every single item from the plains biome (and elsewhere) before i lucked into a shaman who dropped the totem a trophy (edit: gosh, what a distinction! TIL). i was like heureka and immediately rushed to the altar and -- nothing ("this item can't be used here" or some such).

several hours later i simply gave up and decided to google this up. surpris
