As many of us DM’s know, scheduling can be the biggest enemy when dealing with a campaign. We have a table rule that if one person can’t make it we’ll typically go on, and sometimes life happens and two people can’t make it causing us to cancel a session.

I have an upcoming extended Saturday session that might be cancelled, but was considering pitching the remaining players a one shot alternative. One or two of them may not be so inclined to create new character though, so I had the idea of “what if I leveraged the Red Wizards chapter as inspiration for one shots as an alternative to canceling”.

So I’m simply here asking if anyone has ideas on how this could be done. I’m thinking somethin

Hey All,

Effective immediately, the mods will be removing the ability to provide direct links to twitter/X from the sub. In an effort to be fair about this, we provided the community the opportunity to vote on this decision. From the votes cast, the community overwhelmingly chose to remove direct access.

What does this mean going forward?

  • The automod will remove any direct links to Twitter/X
  • The automod will allow photos/screengrabs of tweets that use the flair "News", "Discussion"

The mod team recognizes that the NBA, our Boston Celtics, and several beat wr

Updating Hazirawn's stats

Assistance Required

I've felt that Hazirawn as a weapon leaves a bit to be desired. It seems like a lot of positives with very few negatives considering it is a sentient evil sword. After my group had their first encounter with Rezmir they seemed to take interest some of the capabilities shown off by the sword, and I wanted to update the stats for Hazirawn if the sword ever come into there possession. So I'm looking for feedback on the updates, and whether or not this seems too overboard:

Hazirawn:

Weapon (greatsword), legendary (requires attunement)

A sentient (neutral evil) greatsword, Hazirawn is capable of speech in Common and Netherese. Even if you aren't attuned to the sword, you gain a +1 bonus

Hey everyone.

So as some of you may have seen, Reddit's API pricing is going to be changing to a pay-per-use model, and this has significant ramifications for the ecosystem of reddit as a whole. There are implications regarding 3rd party apps such as Appolo and RIF (the notable example being Apollo citing the new model would be $20M per year in added costs). A number of moderation tools will be affected which makes our jobs of keeping this a safe, spamless, and thriving community much harder. Finally it was noted that [the API chang

Hey all!

Excited to share with you guys that we will be hosting an AMA with Adam Himmelsbach Wednesday 5/17 at 11AM EST! He will be popping in to answer some of your questions before the Celtics take on their practice in preparation of the upcoming Game 1 in the ECF.

Adam will be answering questions LIVE as long as time permits, and may be able to pop back in after practice as well. But in order to streamline things a bit we are asking you guys to start asking your questions now in this post.

We will take the top-voted comments later this evening and send them along to Adam in advance to answer when he first dr

Hey All,

With the Celtics gearing up for their first game tomorrow against the Atlanta Hawks the mod team wanted to remind the community of a specific rule we have in place: Trolling.

The past few days we've seen both subs poking fun a bit at the content of each other's subreddit heading into the first game, and for the most part this have been okay by us because it is mostly good-natured fun and people seem to be respectful. That said, we want the community to know that we are in talks with the Hawks mods and want to remind the community of trolling their subreddit. This is a rule we take seriously, and want to remind the community of a few points:

  1. Trolling the Hawks subreddit:

The mod team is finally getting off their asses and updating the subreddit flairs!

We know that they're outdated and we want to give you all new flairs for the 2022-2023 season. So give us suggestions of who or what you'd like a flair of for us to consider! And if there are specific images you'd like please provide them!

Just keep them Celtics related, and within our sub guidelines, and we'll consider adding it! Our hope is to get new flairs out by the season opener so this thread will be up for a few days to give everyone time to give their suggestions.
