Hey, I’ve been playing DND for about 2 years and absolutely love it! I would not say I’m an expert, but I’ve been playing for a while in person now, so I’m a little past beginner level of experience!

Im looking to find an online campaign that can play regularly, in the evenings on weekdays or any time on weekends. I’m CDT (central) timezone.

Feel free to message me here or on discord: runavv

About me:

Big fantasy nerd, love novels, medieval history etc. I enjoy the role-play aspect, puzzles and problem solving in dungeons, and also challenging combat encounters! I’m fairly flexible and easy going! I’m 27, so looking for a group of adult players.

I particularly love the druid class, I lo

We have semi cat proofed our place (child locks on cabinets etc) Is there any advice you have for first time cat parents? I’m super excited!!

I’m curious also about FIV: we are going to the local shelter this weekend- there is a shelter that tests for it (but they have less cats to choose from) and a larger shelter with lots of cats that are not tested (but can be upon request). At the former, I fell in love with a cat that was FIV+, and I’ve received mixed info on it- the shelter told me its not a death sentence, but a former cat owner of a FIV+ cat told me their cat died within a few weeks, which scared me a bit

Online I can see its not a death sentence, but its unclear about the likel

I would like any advice you have for the fight against the elder brain. I’ve never made it this far in HM and Im scared of losing at the very last fight, I’ve made it so far

Details (if it helps): My durge is a level 12 circle of the moon druid, I have scrolls for summoning elementals for my companions.

My strongest party is with Laezel and Karlach, they deal heavy damage. Shadowheart provides summons on her own and much needed control spells and healing spells. We have a couple barrels of smokepowder in inventory. Lots of healing potions. Everyone has good armour and therefore high AC.

Thats the current state of my party. Any final advice before I jump in would be appreciated!

Thank you BG3

SpoilerMods / Modding

As a console player and someone who hasnt had the chance to save up for a gaming computer: thank you.

Having the ability to easily play around with and install mods on console has been such a cool experience and something I have not seen with other console games.

I appreciate that!

I’ve been reading and mostly agreeing with some of the points discussed on this subreddit about DAV, to summarize it very quickly:

  • it’s a beautiful game with fun combat and an okay story with notable quests that feel immersive- but the tone/handling of Rook vs companions/ the romances etc. is not meeting the quality of past games, including major themes such as religion and politics etc.

So I find myself wondering: is this the closing chapter (ie. is this it?)? How likely are we to see a comeback dragon age 5? How are you moving on, when the world of Thedas has impacted you on some level?

Specifically, do you know how much it hurts to have a mild sliver of wood?

How about a cut from broken glass?

WHO IN THEIR RIGHT MIND DECIDED TO STORE HEALING SUPPLIES, IN LARGE GLASS VASES THAT APPARENTLY CANNOT BE OPENED BY ANY MEANS save for rolling into and/or breaking the glass?

I dont even want to THINK about the number of patients in the hospital waiting room, all there because to access the healing they needed for minor ailments (such as scratches and burns from fighting the blight), get massively cut up and splintered in the process of accessing supplies and potions.

Someone sick who has access to valuable items, thought it was a good idea to do the same in wooden crates as wel

The following things I know may be obvious to some, but simply blew me away:

  • Solas locking Rook in the fade
  • Varric… wasnt real? He really did die 😢 I thought he was alive this whole time
  • Based on my rook’s character, she decided to trick Solas. That ending, made me realize how sad his character really is, and made the ending bittersweet.
  • Bellara taking control of the blight temporarily showed that powerful mages really can become god-like, it showed she had immense power, if for a moment.
  • …. i didnt expect Harding to die 😭 but it was impactful

Those are my thoughts… this was in a world state where my Inquisitor was a friend of Solas. Now I will play again, this time with Lavellan

As the day gets closer there is one thing I know for sure: my Rook canon is Qunari

But one thing I keep wondering about is their class- specifically, a lords of fortune rook.

But my heart keeps whispering “No, rook is a crow” but my head keeps saying “bruh the crows are in conflict with qunari” to which my heart responds “but it could be interesting!” And then my head is like “what about grey warden?” And then my heart is like “but you’ve never played DAO and you wanted LOF”

…in short, I need help lol

What makes the most sense in your opinion for a Qunari rook?

EDIT: i mixed up the word CLASS and FACTION 😅 I meant faction sorry

I was thinking most or some of us will be super excited to share our Rooks and also about next weekend:

  • Dragon Age Day was made by fans, what if we made a “Pre-Veilguard Eve” Day next weekend, where fans can gather and share excitement for the launch of Veilguard? Or mayhaps a support group for our impatient anticipation of waiting a few more days 😂

  • Also: is there going to be a subreddit or solution for when a bunch of us want to share pictures of our Rook? I know I would love to see all the creativity and wonderful characters we make in the character creator!

After listening to Vows & Vengeance I was pleasantly surprised by who I think my Rook will want in their party most of the game. I know I’ll probably fall in love with all of them once I play, but my first impressions gave me an inkling.

if you could rate the DAV companions without really knowing them yet (due to game not being out yet), just solely based on what you have seen, how would you rate them on the following scale: 1 being ALWAYS in your party to 7 being taking them only when required / maybe getting to know them better on another play through, I’ll start (this was hard lol)

  1. Lucanis
  2. Taash
  3. Emrich
  4. Neve
  5. Davrin
  6. Harding
  7. Bellara

I’ve seen lots of people who hav
