I just used this appropriately in another sub. Just checked to see if r/sdmb existed and here we are. :-)

Hey friends- I’m trying to take all my fitbit data with me off i to the sunset and I started a complete export through the fitbit website on the 18th. It made slow progress and eventually capped out at 90%, where it has been stuck for days.

Has anyone with a LOT of fitbit history (2014 for me) seen the happy news of this export actually completing??

First off I just wanted to say I’m enjoying the series so much more on my second read. For those teetering on the precipice of re-reading this series, allow me to give you a firm shove.

OK -regarding the ending, after Kellhus is released, how does the haggard and starved remnants of the Holy War end up defeating Kascaramandi’s host, who was rested and presumably well-fed?

At this point I’m unsure of the numbers involved, but I think the Holy War host was down to 50K or so. And again, starved and therefore weak. And I don’t think I read where the Scarlet Spires assisted in the battle.

And where were the Cishaurum during this? They just let the Fanim host get wiped out?

The book was awesom

I post this with some shame but hopefully, one day this will help someone else out.

I have a little Beelink NAS with truenas community on it and have been happily using it as a plex server for the last 6 months.

Today I purchased another ssd to add to it so that I could backup my photos to my NAS using Immich. (I already have a cloud backup, fwiw).

After getting it installed and configured, I started backing up my iPhone photos using the IOS app. At some point it halted for some reason - maybe my iphone went to sleep.

I tried to restart it and it failed. I opened truenas admin in my PC browser via a bookmark and it failed. I was no longer able to ping the nas, but it was still showing up

It didn’t come up in a search, but perhaps I’m not the first to recommend it to fans of the Southern Reach. Exordia feels like a sci-fi spiritual cousin to the SR series, and I wasn’t surprised to see JVDM mentioned as an inspiration by the author.

I won’t spoil it by giving any details - it’s fun to go into books like this a bit blind. Hope uou enjoy it!

The two Braves teams were eliminated. The Washington team had a ringer for female pro player and she was hitting as far as some of the men. The Phillies had a local star from Georgia Tech who had the advantage of not being 50+ years old. It was HOT out there.

Half the crowd left after the Braves teams were eliminated. Not sure why they didn’t have the 2 Braves teams play each other so one would be in the final.

Fun, but too hot out to really enjoy it.

I just signed ip for the Apple card and its associated savings account. I want to be able to view my balances, move money, and pay the credit card bill from within the USAA app.

Anyone know how to do this? Apple isn’t available in the list of financial institutions you can link.

Thanks in advance!

Just picked up this receiver on the latest Amazon deal, and it looks like it might be defective. Not the most impressive delivery - it was contained within a much larger box with no padding, and delivered on its side with the outer box’s tape half-open. The Yamaha box looked fine, and everything looked pristine within it upon unboxing.

After basic setup setup (in a 5.0.2 bi-amp configuration) I noticed to my chagrin that the right surround channel was silent when running test tones. To eliminate issues with that speaker or its cable from the equation, I connected it to the left surround channel and it produced a test tone.

Is there anythjng else I should check before boxing this beast back

I have gigabit fiber. Spent a decent amoount last year to run ethernet to my home office and, as far as I can recall everything has been working fine.

Topology:

Fiber

  • eero gateway —Netgear GS503 unmanaged gigabit router ——2nd eero ——3rd eero

So, fiber to gsteway eero. Gateway eero to gigabit router. 2 wired eeros hanging off that.

In the eero app, I see 2nd eero has 100Mbps connection to port 2 on the gateway. It should be a gigabit connection.

Oddly, the app reports the 3rd Eero has a gigabit connection to the 2nd eero, also on port 2.

A little while ago I rebooted the Netgear router and that seemed to fix it, but now it’s reporting a wired 100Mbps connection again.

Any thoughts?
