Headphones as speaker for at-home test?

General Question :snoo_thoughtful:

I currently don't own any speakers, but I can reliably turn my headphones up high enough that they function decently well as speakers when they're off my head, so I wouldn't have to put them on. Do you folks think this would be an acceptable setup?

I'm pretty strapped for cash right now, so I'd rather not buy speakers if I don't have to.

For the purpose of this discussion I'll try to consistently use a definition of 'evil' that corresponds to 'induces suffering' in some loose sense. Similarly, I'll use 'stupid' in loose correspondence with 'ignorant of the state of the world/the logical implications of their actions'. I hope these choices of vocabulary are to taste.

I want to question the (apparently common) position that people who breed are evil because they are stupid. The causal connection is key: I don't really doubt that people generally do very little correct ethical reasoning or analysis of the consequences of their actions, similarly I don't doubt that most people are applying moral systems where the minimization

I'm currently in the unfortunate position of juggling 3 moral systems, 2 of which are almost diametrically opposed and one is mostly orthogonal. I call it unfortunate because it is hampering my productivity.

The predominant one is the one which is anti-structure. It holds that it is a travesty that anything interacts at all or exhibits any kind of asymmetry. This is a consequence of my brain shorting when I realized that my concept of suffering was too narrow to cover everything it should (clearly the evolutionary purpose of suffering should be reflected in its definition, and AI shouldn't be excluded etc.), and when I generalized it, it generalized a bit too hard.

The other is essentially

Is chronos just ineffective against bombs in particular or something? We've seen Zero get caught by surprise on a few occasions, and aside the one where he went up against another Null, it was bombs on two occasions. What's up with that?

See postscript down below first.

I'll start with an illustrative example with regard to line integrals of vector fields. Suppose we have a vector field [;\mathbf{F};]and a curve [;C;]. The line integral of [;\mathbf{F};] over [;C;] is scalar valued and admits an intuitive description as being the sum of dot products of the form [;\mathbf{F}(\mathbf{r})\cdot d\mathbf{r};] where [;d\mathbf{r};] represents a small nudge along the curve and [;\mathbf{r};] a given position on the curve.

This appears to be highly suggestive of a possible object that can be more-or-less characterized as a vector valued analogue of the usual line integral: in particular, it could admit a representati

Tested with Human: Fall Flat and Hollow Knight, both happen to be Unity games and Steam's console messages give me something about Unity's input detection stuff when these crashes happen.

Running Arch w/ all packages latest as of 2018-09-01T22:00Z.

A possible fix is to find out which of the devices in /dev/input is your motion sensor device and remove it. This info can be found by checking /dev/input/by-id for the link that refers to the motion sensor device. Mine happened to be usb-Sony_Computer_Entertainment_Wireless_Controller-event-if00 and the link referred to /dev/input/event29. All PS4 controller related links started with `usb-Sony_Computer_Entertainment_Wireless_Controller

Before anything else, I'd like to thank u/5secondstozerotime for forcing my hand by annoying me a little bit with this post on Humes, and for this pleasant markdown formatting.

###The reason for this mess I have a severe dislike of treating 'reality' as something quantifiable, because it ruins any reasonable definition of 'reality'. Same goes for treating logic as something that can be 'bended' in any way.

As a result, I propose a definition for Humes that allows for clever things like 'reality bending' and treating consciousness as an anomaly without doing the things mentioned prior.

I'd like to propose the idea of an optional disabling timer on the "New" button, to avoid accidental presses when the stranger has just exited.

I know that this isn't the place to post feature requests, but that's not what I'm here to do. Is there demand for this?
