I'm considering a BT65 Carnivore in .35 caliber and am interested in using conventional cast, swaged, or plated handgun bullets rather than buying a separate inventory of dedicated airgun slugs.

I already load .38 Special and .357 Magnum, so I'm particularly interested in whether the rifle can make practical use of common .357/.358 bullets such as RNFPs, SWCs, wadcutters, etc. I also load .380 ACP and 9x19mm, so if .355/.356 bullets would work better, I can work with that.

  • Has anyone successfully shot conventional .357/.358 handgun bullets through a BT65 Carnivore?

  • What bullet diameter does the rifle seem to prefer (.357, .358, etc.)?

  • What bullet weights have worked best?

  • Can th

I get that it runs on batteries. Very cool, covers me during a power outage, which is the main reason I bought it.

But where the heck do I get a power cord for it?

I'm a casual player, 206m influence. I log in once, maybe twice per day, do what I can, and bounce.

My current family wants people to be more active in fighting.

I don't like PvP, and I don't want to do it.

Currently in City 400 with 4 days left in GW and the family is going to move to 402 after GW ends in about 4 days.

Would love to have a place to go after GW ends.

I'm thinking about getting a canoe or a kayak to fish some of the lakes, bigger creeks, and rivers in my area.

I usually fish alone, so if I fish a creek or a river, I will have to get myself back upstream to wherever I have parked, or I will have to park downstream, paddle upstream, and float back down.

I know that the difficulty of paddling upstream is going to depend on the flow in the given body of water, so there's no universal answer to my question.

But generally speaking, how hard is it to paddle upstream in a creek or river? And is it easier to paddle a canoe or a kayak upstream?

Thanks in advance.

As the title says, I'm thinking about getting a TCM. It seems like Rock Island has discontinued the .22 TCM/9mm combo guns in favor of .22 TCM9R/9mm combo guns. And all of the combo guns are now single stack.

I'm on the fence as to whether I should get one of the combo guns or one of the double stack guns that's .22 TCM only.

A couple of questions related to that:

  1. Will the .22 TCM gun feed .22 TCM9R ammunition?
  2. How hard would it be to fit a 9mm barrel into the .22 TCM only gun?
  3. Would it be realistic to fit a .38 Super barrel into the .22 TCM only gun, and if so, will .38 Super fit into and feed from the magazines?
  4. Will the double-stack .22 TCM only guns fit into standard 191

r/Clevo•

I have a Sager-branded Clevo PA71HP that I've had for years. I've started getting a message that my CMOS battery is dead.

I've pulled the bottom off the laptop and can't find the CMOS battery. My guess is that it's on the top side of the motherboard, under the keyboard, but I can't remember how to get the keyboard out (or whether or not I've ever actually had the keyboard out for that matter).

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Also, just to be sure, it's the same CR2032 battery that most motherboards use for CMOS batteries, right?

I posted this over in r/ShotshellReloading, and it's getting views, but no responses. So, I figured I'd drop it here and see if I can get a little more traction with it:

I'm going to preface this by saying this: Yes, I know that it is not safe to shoot centerfire revolver ammunition such as .45 Colt, .454 Casull, or .460 S&W Magnum in a .410 bore shotgun. That's not what I'm talking about doing.

So, I had what is probably a stupid idea the other day. Follow my logic here:

  1. People make brass .410 shotshells using .303 British and .444 Marlin cases with varying degrees of success. I haven't done it, but I also haven't ruled it out.
  2. Companies make revolvers and derringers that can sh

My mom gave me a tube of this stuff for Christmas. I know she meant well and was trying to get me "gun stuff," because I do enjoy the shooting sports. However, I'm not currently involved in any sort of black powder shooting, and this stuff seems to be targeted more toward black powder firearms.

Unfortunately, there's also very little information about this stuff on the Internet.

Is this a lubricant for moving parts? Is this a projectile lubricant? Is it any good at whatever it's supposed to be designed for? What the heck do I do with this stu

So, I've been learning React for the purpose of base building so I can learn React Native.

I'm following the tutorials, create my React app, npm start to run it, everything looks great, until it opens a tab in my browser and directs to localhost:3000.

It should show the base react app, just as it does in the tutorial videos. Instead, I'm getting an error saying that localhost isn't passing data.

Spent 4 hours alternating between troubleshooting that error and following the tutorials hoping the damn thing would automagically fix itself, but it never does.

I don't know why it clicked for me, but all of a sudden, I was reminded of a little factoid from a networking class I took over 20 yea

r/Shadowrun•

So in our most recent Shadowrun 5e game, our group had 2 players who couldn't make it, but one new player. That was okay. It gave me a chance to test out some more improvisation chops.

I went into the session with less than one page of notes and a printout of the rating 1-4 NPCs from the core book. My notes were mostly the setup to get them to the meet, barebones info about the job, Mr. J's social pool (which I nerfed on the fly because the team's mage was missing) and which NPCs from the sheet to use for the run. I had also intended to print out the specs for the truck I had picked out of Rigger 5.0, but I forgot to. Oops.

The job: Collect a cargo transport truck that is traveling th

I ran a group through Fast Food Fight from the 5E Quick Start rules last weekend. The group consisted of 1 complete newbie to Shadowrun and 3 people who had previously played 4E (one of whom had also played 3E previously) but were new to 5E.

The group listened to the guy offer them the job, which I read to them verbatim from the module, and they tried to negotiate the price a bit before agreeing to take the job. They asked no other questions, and they left.

They then started doing legwork to try to find the guy they were supposed to shake down for info.

For those of you who run your players through this module, you're probably all going "Wait. What?"

Yeah.

There's nothing in the modu
