I've been playing since OW1 came out and have about 800 hours on Dva, 150 hours on Sigma. My tank role is high gold, but I've barely played since OW2 came out, instead focusing almost entirely on support. (Un)fortunately, I climbed too high on support, and can't queue the role with some of my friends anymore. I don't really enjoy DPS, so that's forced me back onto tank recently.

I could get away with just playing my mains in OW1 by relying on the other tank to balance out my picks, but in OW2 it's completely different. You're forced to play a game of rock paper scissors against the enemy tank, and it feels like there are some hard counters to my mains that make some games feel damn close t

Greetings Everyone,

I'm new to Ruckus gear, so apologies if this is well documented somewhere, but I've looked for a few days and haven't been able to find anything similar to what I'm seeing.

Got a used R710. When I powered it up, I saw the Island AP and tried to connect. From what I've been able to tell, the password should be the serial number of the device. When this did not work, I tried to factory reset it by holding the physical reset button, as described in KB articles like this:

https://docs.ruckuswireless.com/unleashed/200.1.9.12/c-RestoreToFactorySettings.html

Even after factory reset, ser

I feel like I must be missing something.

Just had a major outage because our SSG140 had it's CPU pegged at 75-85% and traffic at 75-85Mbps on the 100Mbps WAN interface. At first I thought it was a DDoS attack, except that CPU/traffic wasn't at 100%, so it would have been a pretty terrible job if it had been. After talking with our upstream provider and checking some SNMP logs, it turns out the traffic was outbound. However, the Interface Bandwidth Report ONLY showed high bandwidth utilization on the WAN interface.

The really confusing part was how I "resolved" the issue. We have a second SSG140 that we plan to add for failover, so I copied the config over and plugged everything in. At thi

Sorry if this is off topic, but I know this could be a huge deal for our Aussie brothers and sisters. >100ms latency does not sound fun. I mean, honestly. What year is this, 1998?

For those that haven't heard, Star Citizen currently deploys their game serves to Google's cloud. Problem is, there are no Google datacenters in the entire southern hemisphere. Obviously, this leads to high latency and a poor game experience for everyone in Australia.

Luckily, there is a strong business case for building in more countries: data retenti

Looking to upgrade a power restricted build from dual core to quad core, as the CPU is definitely my current bottleneck.

  • Chassis: Chenbro ES34069
  • CPU: Intel Core i3-530 (73W TDP)
  • RAM: G.Skill DDR3 8GB Kit (4GB x 2)
  • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce 750Ti Low Profile (60W)
  • OS: ADATA SX900 256GB
  • DATA: WD Red 3TB x 4 RAID5
  • PSU: 180W (aftermarket upgrade, chassis comes with 120W power brick, but DC-DC PSU in chassis supports up to 180W)

Kill-A-Watt tells me that it runs pretty much at exactly 180W under load, so ideally I'd like to get down to a 65W TDP CPU or lower. Biggest concern after power is cost; want to keep it as cheap as possible. Unfortunately, there are no 73W or less quad core L

Last year at work, I brought my DK2 and computer in and challenged everyone to escape from the dungeon in Dreadhalls. The rules were fairly simple: Whoever gets to the end first, wins. If no one gets to the end, whoever lasts the longest, wins. For a reward, I went to Costco and got a couple variety packs of full sized candy bars (shockingly cheap, corner store markup is insane). Everyone who tried, got one, and the first, second, and third place got six, four, or two, respectively.

I would love to do Dreadhalls again, but it doesn't look like the DK2 version has been updated much, and I don't have a GearVR. About 15-20 people participated last year, which took several hours. I wouldn't wa

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but right now, it seems like a dual LGA 1366 platform is the best cost/performance/power right now for anything approaching a serious workload. When looking to compare the cost of servers, it's best to compare barebones, as CPU/RAM/HDD is the largest cost and is the same between manufacturers. With this in mind, can anyone find anything cheaper than a Dell R710? If all you want is the metal chassis, motherboard, and fans, you can get a barebones for as low as $150 now. If you want dual PSU, rails, RAID controller, and maybe a couple of HDDs trays, you can find them for around $450:

Image pretty much says it all. Three of my motherboard temperature sensors seem to be "stuck". You can see the correct temps from the sensors built into the CPU. I ran a CPU stress test in Kumbuster to show all the other sensors have reasonable min/max. The real problem is that this causes all my fans to run at 100% all the time. Originally I was using the ASRock A-Tuning FAN-Tasic program that came with my motherboard to set the fan curve, but I can't change which sensor I want to use for the CPU temp.

Just tried SpeedFan. In the Readings tab with "Automatic Fan Speed" enabled after configuring it to use Core 0's temp, it tried to set the fan speed to 35%,

Sorry for the newbie post, but I'm having trouble getting my rift working again after a clean install of Windows 8. This is what I've done:

  • Install Windows 8
  • Patch Windows
  • Install Geforce drivers (650 Ti)
  • Install Directx (web installer)
  • Mirror displays at 1280x800

After this, I downloaded the config utility and a bunch of demos from Oculus Share. Only the config utility works properly (everything looks perfect in the holodeck with the red car). After creating a profile for myself, I tried the Tuscany demo. Each eye is vertically out of alignment: the left eye is too low, the right eye is too high. I've tried Googling for anyone with a similar problem, but found nothing. Proton Pu

I've seen people mention good support for Dirt 2 with Vireio/Stereoficator, but I haven't seen anyone specifically mention head tracking. Has anyone been able to get it to work? I just tried with the new 0.02 version, and still no luck.

Is there anything I need to do beyond simply having Stereoficator running in the background? Editing config files, etc. Only other game I've tried was Chivalry, which worked quite well just adding a couple of line to the Stereoficator config files.
