Is there a way to actually stop the ritual? On my second playthrough and made sure to rescue Halsin from the goblin camp first, but as soon as I returned the ritual was already finished. Didn’t even take any long rests because I thought that might effect it, and have no idea what I could have done that caused the ritual to already happen. I feel like I’m going crazy when looking this up and seeing all the comments that all you have to do is rescue Halsin

I just recently started The Wisdom of Crowds after spending the last four months reading through the first trilogy and the standalones, and one thing that keeps sticking in my mind is who Valint & Balk actually are? Were/are they aligned with the Magi to keep the world under their thumb or were they just a random bank the Maguses decided to take over? Something else entirely? Curious to hear people’s thoughts

Anyone down to run Pacific Standard setups and finale with me? Having some trouble with randoms as usual

Hey everyone, just finished The Well of Ascension last night and needed somewhere to gush about it. I feel like I’m probably in the minority, but I enjoyed it even more than The Final Empire, which I also loved. The political intrigue was right up my alley, and the character development for so many of the characters was so good. Sazed’s arc in particular almost made me cry.

Plus so many awesome moments, especially in those last 100 pages (which I’m now understanding is common and even has a name for it!) I’ve been alternating series while reading each title, it’s gonna be really hard to not just immediately jump into Hero of Ages

So I’m about a quarter of the way through Well of Ascension right now, and am wondering on how OreSeur should sound. As Renoux I always imagined him having a little bit of an aristocratic, flowery French-like accent, but in all the descriptions I’ve read so far, OreSeur’s voice is described as very inhuman, so I’m just wondering how everyone imagines his voice as sounding.

I am also reading the physical book and not listening to the audiobook so I have no idea how Michael Kramer voices him

Sorry if this has been asked before, just wondering as I’ve always been more of a physical book reader, but am in a position currently where I don’t have a lot of access to physical books, but do have access to a good amount of audiobooks. Do any of you read a book/series for the first time by listening to the audiobook? If so, do you feel your experience suffers at all by just listening? Or does it help to increase immersion?

I’d love to hear any favorites that anyone has as well 😊 I’m just starting to get back into reading so I’m not very well-versed in the good stuff out there, other than stuff like Harry Potter/LOTR/ASOIAF. I did recently read the first book of both the Mistborn trilog

Just looking for some new friends to play GTA with, been trying to get heists done on a new character but having a lot of trouble with randoms. 26M so 21+ preferably but my PSN is SpaciousCowboyy, or DM me and I can add you

I recently started replaying through the series, and am currently on AC II. I’m a big fan of lore and worldbuilding so I tend to read/listen to any codex/journal entries I get in games, but haven’t really ever done so for AC. I’m just wondering how historically accurate some of the database entries are — I know for certain entries about historical figures or locations some of the dates may be jumbled around a bit or some details changed, but for entries that describe parts of Renaissance society for example in AC II, like doctors and blacksmiths — how historically accurate is the information in the database?

Hi everyone, just needed a spot to gush about this book/series. I just got back into reading for enjoyment again this year, and this was the second ever book I had actually finished for 2024, plus my introduction to Hobb. I don’t think I’ve had any story play on my emotions this much! My heart physically hurt for Fitz at parts 💔 gonna take a bit of break before jumping into Royal Assassin but I think Robin Hobb may be one of my new favorite authors

Trying to finish the Prison Break heist and get some others done as well, currently lvl 19-20 on a new acct. Don’t have a mic at the moment so mic not required, just as long as you’re willing to communicate

Hey everyone, been trying to do the prison break finale for awhile with randoms but having no luck. Anyone up to help? No mic required as long as you’re up to at least communicate

Hey fellow porters, wanted to get some suggestions/advice on how to proceed here. Just defeated Higgs and have been working my way back to Lake Knot, while hitting outposts along the way and making as many deliveries as I can. I usually stack a bunch all at once and deliver via vehicle, but because of the chiral density I’m encountering a lot more timefall, and each time a BT comes it’s all out—huge lion monster-thing, vehicles completely stopped and I’m kicked out until the BT is gone.

This has happened several times while driving around specifically in this chapter, and I’m wondering if I should just proceed on foot from now on? Every time it happens it ends up ruining a ton of the cargo
