I made a very interesting breakthrough discovery: skip to last paragraph for solution, but first a little background.

I have had various diverse audio issues both with my Chromecast as well as with my girlfriend’s. Basically on my TV, the volume would go incredibly quiet on random occasions. The Chromecast volume couldn’t get loud enough, so I would have to turn the TV volume up to 100. And even that wasn’t enough. This could sometimes be an issue with every app except casting YouTube from my phone. The worst was casting from Google chrome on my laptop.

I also had different issues with my girlfriend’s Chromecast and TV. At her place, it did this weird thing where the volume was completel

Very strange and specific problem I’m having. When casting videos on Google Chrome from a MacBook to my TV the audio cuts in and out, only playing dialogue. So if I’m watching a movie or a show, the music and ambient sounds disappear. It doesn’t play any sound, unless someone starts talking, and then the audio comes back in.

So somehow my laptop, or Google Chrome, or the Chromecast is filtering out any sound that isn’t people talking and is only playing the dialogue. Obviously, this makes movies and shows unwatchable.

This problem is new and it doesn’t happen with any other devices that I cast from. Any insight is appreciated. Thanks!

I’m on Bedrock 1.19

Specifically, my problem is with the composter. It may seem minor, but it’s very tedious and annoying for setting up villager trading halls or automatic farms. Here’s how it plays out:

I lay down a composter and see which villager becomes a farmer. Then I cart that villager from his prison communal living space into his trading stall. I then sticky piston or break the composter until he buys the crops I want to sell him. I lock in the trade. All normal until now.

But uh oh. Now some other random villager decides he’s a farmer too, and connects to the same composter. I try breaking the composter over and over to get him off it, and to connect with the original farme
