https://support.torproject.org/ is the new place for user documentation. It will replace tb-manual.torproject.org.
"Everything now lives under one roof. You can now find all user-facing documentation in one place: clearer, better organized, and easier to read on both desktop and mobile. After this migration, tb-manual.torproject.org will redirect automatically to the new portal.
Our goal is simple: to make sure Tor users everywhere can easily find the information they need, without jumping between different websites."

OSINT-specialist Benjamin Strick (@BenDoBrown) uses several channel for his tips and tricks, his YouTube being one of them. But he has now also started a site on Substack. Might be interesting to add it to your watch-list.
I guess we'll be seeing an influx of Welsh names shortly.
"We’ll share the information with Wikipedia, Mapio Cymru / Open Street Map, and the List of Historic Place Names of Wales, so that the names you have contributed appear on as many different resources as possible, encouraging their use."
This is a refreshing take on (not) replacing search with AI answers.
"We will not replace search results with AI-generated answers.
AI can be useful as a tool that supports search engine experiences . It can help you find the mst relevant hyperlinks, and be used to improve semantic matching. But its role should be to support search, not to supplant it.
At Mojeek we use AI (machine leaning) where it makes sense. But our role is to connect you with the web, not to intermediate it. To respect your agency, not constrain it. To protect your privacy, not profile you. To help you discover, not influence you."

Hardly the first article of its kind, but I like how this "How to" identifies seven types of red flags and then for each applies three different approaches, from instant assessment ("30-Second Red Flag Check") to "Five-Minute Technical Verification" to extensive analysis ("Deep Investigation") for high-stakes reporting.

Never had this before. When updating with pkg upgrade, all mirrors were marked as "bad" and the final error was "None of the mirrors are accessible". I then selected other mirrors with termux-change-repo, but the problem persists.
Is this just an issue on my end or is anyone else experiencing this too?
It's probably good news, and helps establishing the IA as an official institution. Yet somehow I can't help thinking that under the current administration, having federal status might not be so beneficial.
Having noticed "Public Domain Horror" in the title, this is not quite what I was suspecting.

Nothing metaphorical here. It's about actual horror.
Following this comment I switched from the mozillateam PPA to the official PPA provided by Mozilla. For some reason, the About now says *"You are currently on the {$channel} update channel"* When I check `about:support`, the value for Update channel is indeed empty. I wasn't able to find anything about this online. Anyone here know if that is that a known issue, or more importantly if I need to do anything about this?
