I believe this issue arose after a recent GPU driver update (25.3.1), and using DDU to remove, then reinstall the current driver fixes the issue until reboot, when it recurs. I can downgrade to an older driver (23.11.1), which solves this issue, but leaves me with a repeating dll error: "amdihk32.dll is either not designed to run on windows or it contains an error."

I'm running an all AMD system:

Windows 11 Pro 10.0.26100

B650 Gaming X AX V2

AMD Ryzen 7 9700X

AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT

64GB DDR5 RAM

M.2 SSDs x2

LG Curved WQHD Main monitor

Viewsonic VA2719-2K Secondary monitor (reverse portrait)

Thanks in advance for any insights!!!

Hey r/unRAID,

I'm considering turning my old desktop into an Unraid server and wanted to get some advice from the community.

My main use cases would be:

  • Torrenting
  • Running some Docker containers
  • Hosting local AI services

Current Hardware:

  • Motherboard: MSI X470
  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 2600
  • RAM: 32GB DDR4
  • Storage (on hand):
  • HDDs: 3TB, 2TB, 1TB, 1TB
  • SSD: 512GB

Existing Setup:

  • I have a Synology DS218 (2-bay) serving as my main storage (currently using 3TB out of 7TB).
  • I also have a Dell Optiplex 3050 NUC (i5-6550T, 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD) running Proxmox with some LXC containers (Tailscale, Heimdall, Guacamole).

Questions:

  • Is this CPU/motherboard/RAM combo decent for

I'm trying out the unRAID trial on my Ryzen 2700, 32GB RAM build atm, and have noticed when I'm doing almost any operations with Docker (pulling an image, container under load, etc.) The WebUI becomes unresponsive until the operation finishes, or load greatly decreases.

Is this usual behavior? Or something I can run down and solve?

Thanks in advance.

I'm trying to get my own router working with my Cox internet service and having zero success, despite not being a complete networking newbie.

I ONLY have internet service, not TV or phone. I believe the service is fiber, and my hardware is as follows-

  • ONT: Nokia branded black box with no identifying serial #'s. Power, Ethernet, and what I think is fiber running to it (NOT coax).

  • Gateway: CGM4331COX

  • Personal Router: TP-Link Archer AX50

I've tried plugging the AX50 directly into the ONT, with its stock MAC, I've tried and cloning the MAC (both CM and MTA from the Gateway). It'll obtain a WAN IP and DNS servers with any of these MACs, but none of my devices can access the internet.

I'm trying to book a specific hotel suite that isn't showing up via the Cap1 portal. It shows as available on the hotel website, but not the portal.

I assume if I don't book through the portal, I won't earn 10x miles, only 2x, correct? Anyone else dealt with this, or know of a way around this?

In the last couple of weeks or so, I've started getting odd checksum mismatch errors on my DS218+ that has a single drive SHR/BTRFS. The first set of errors registered within a minute or so on about four database related Plex files. Three days later I had a series of nine errors that read "Checksum mismatch on file [ ]." Now today, I have a single checksum mismatch showing up on a database log in a docker volume I'm running.

Storage Manager shows everything as "Healthy" and I'm re-running SMART checks. I've got data scrubbing set to run afterward. We've had some violent weather lately, and I've accumulated a few improper shutdowns in the last month.

Anything I'm missing? Is this weird or i

I'm trying to decide between these two. Can anyone who has experience with either or both of these desks offer any insight into how they stack up against one another?

Flexispot EN1 ~$350 (Amazon)

Costco Tresanti 55" $469 (Costco)

They have a similar surface area. The only differences besides price I can see are that the Tresanti has a small drawer (pro), but also has a concave area which decreases your available desk space (con). That, and Costco would allow easier returns if something were to go wrong.

Thanks

I'm unable to successfully launch a modded MC instance via MultiMC. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling Java (ver. 8), initially via chocolatey, then manually. (I'm attempting modpacks with minecraft version 1.16.5) All of my attempts end up with the client completely crashing or simply freezing, and I'm unable to make heads or tails out of the log. Here's my latest log

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
