I was scared my mom was going to ask me to wear a wig to our nye party....when I showed her my outfit (& freshly shaved head) she asked if I was going to go bald, then kissed my head, and said I looked very cool :')

wishing a happy new year to my fellow baldies !! here's to owning the bald in 2025 🥂

is there anyone here who isn't actively treating their AA?

I've taken prednisone, topical steroids, and rounds of injections. My derm said the loss was too severe to continue injections, so she prescribed me Olumiant. After some research I've decided not to take Olumiant, it just doesn't seem right for me atm. I'm healthy, just 80% bald :p

I've had AA for three years, shaved my head a few times, and it ebbs and flows. I've decided to just let it be for now. No medical interventions. I feel mostly okay about it because I wear a wig to work, and I don't mind having a shaved head. My mental health is okay, AA bothers me every now and then, but I accept it as it is.

Is anyone else deciding

My dr said she can't do steroid injections anymore because the loss is too widespread. I do have slow regrowth but the loss is just spreading more.

She ordered blood tests so I can start jak inhibitors...I'm just scared. I'm not typically scared of medication. It's just the way I see it, I'm taking a pill in my youth so I can have hair, I'll be on this pill forever, and there's a chance that a decade in the future I'll get cancer because of this pill. I know I'm catastrophizing, but it's hard not to. I'm overall healthy now besides alopecia. I scared I might make myself sick for the sake of having hair.

I'd appreciate any input, if anyone felt similarly, or how you came to decide that ye

Since we last talked.

Its felt like a lifetime.

There are so many things that have happened - tragedies, celebrations, beautiful moments, and everything in between - that I've wanted to share with you.

I wonder if there's a future for us. Or if you're thinking about me every single day like I am.

As much as I want to talk to you again, I won't reach out. I'm leaving soon. It wouldn't be fair to message you right now. But maybe when I come back? I don't know. I told myself I would stop chasing you, stop sending the first message. But in this situation it might be warranted. So maybe I'll reach out in another 120some days. That is, of course, if I'm still thinking about you.

Hi. I miss you. I've thought about you every single day for the last six months. I'm constantly wondering if you're thinking about me too.

I see reminders of you everywhere. Every time I see your car model, I read the license plate. My heart flutters with anticipation and anxiety, wondering what I would do if I actually saw you. Text you? Or just let you pass me by?

You're everywhere. Around every street corner, at that creepy diner, and that flower shop. The record store we spent hours digging through. The thrift store where you found us matching sweaters. And of course the park, off in your own secluded area.

I've visited that spot a few times in attempt to 'finish' the relationship

I fucking miss it. My cravings have stopped for the most part but fuck, it's all I can think about lately. I miss it on nights like these where I don't want to sleep and the weather is perfect. It made me feel like I was doing something. But I don't want to do anything.

Sometimes I feel like I could start a healthy relationship with it. But really, I may just be trying to convince myself it's okay when I know it's not.

I'm pushing for another day forward.

I started my journey in August, but relapsed multiple times. I don't think I was truly ready to quit back then.

I don't even think about smoking anymore. I don't crave it. I still have my glass/pens but no desire to use them. I feel so proud of myself.

The main change from August to now is that I'm waaaay less stressed. I was dealing with a lot of toxicity in my life. Thankfully, that's passed, and now I am trying to face emotions as they come, rather than hide from them.

If you read this, thank you, and good luck on your journey!

It's been two days and five hours since I decided to quit.

Today is my birthday. I didn't celebrate with weed, and I am proud of that. But today has been extremely difficult. My mental state isn't doing too well. I really want to relapse to help this pain go away, but I know that isn't what I need right now.

I wish weed wasn't my go-to when feeling depressed. I am trying so hard to stay sober. I just need to make it through tonight, and then tomorrow, and the day after that...

i don't know what to do anymore i've never felt this alone in my life and i have so many people around me i just feel that if i ever do talk to them then i'll slowly sever our friendship because i'm so annoying i don't know when my self worth got this low i feel like such a burden all the time

i feel so lonely i'm so tired of it...

I don't think I've seen PMS let alone PMDD represented in such a way that it seems uncontrollable. More like a bullying-"oh she's on her period"- kinda way. Has anyone seen any positive representations? I feel like it'd be an interesting concept to portray.

this cycle is killing me i forgot to take my lexapro this morning and although i had a really good day everything just feels like it's crashing down

i haven't felt this depressed in so long i'm borderline feeling like this is it i'm not going to act on it but i just feel so miserable and i don't know what to do

i feel so utterly alone in the world even though people are around me all the time

i don't know what to do at this point

what do you do when you feel this way? it just feels like i have to cry it out until i forget about it
