Which ones are correct?

I have yet to take out the trash.

I am yet to take out the trash.

and

I have yet to make a decision.

I am yet to make a decision.

I know one would say, "I have taken out the trash, and I have made a decision," but one could also tell someone else what they need to do by saying, "I am to take out the trash, and I am to make an important decision later." So I can't tell which of the above are truly correct. I am yet to tell which are correct? I have yet to tell which are correct?

If "cigarette" is the small version of "cigar,"

and "statuette" is the small version of "statue,"

then "cassette" is the small version of what? What is the bigger or fuller version of "cassette"? (As in, cassette tape.)

Would it really just be "case"? Was there ever a technology that used "cases"? When the video cassette was a thing, was there also a... video case?
