I’ve always loved the imagery of butterflies

Butterflies have large, often brightly colored wings, and conspicuous, fluttering flight

Butterflies have a four-stage life cycle; they undergo complete metamorphosis

They begin life as a caterpillar

The caterpillars grow, sometimes very rapidly, and when fully developed, pupate in a chrysalis

When metamorphosis is complete, the pupal skin splits, the adult insect climbs out, and after its wings have expanded and dried, it flies off

I view this as an example of reincarnation

Stained with vibrant colours,

Stained with positivity.

Stained by the bad,

Stained with shades of gloom,

Stained with negativity.

The shirt I wear is half and half,

Colourful to some,

Gloom to others.

I will continue staining my shirt,

With more colour,

Than shades of gloom.

For I like tie-dye,

And more than anything;
