My partner has multiple food allergies, and it is quite hard to find food that is affordable and safe for her. What we would do at times is to ask the hawker if they have a specific ingredient in their dishes (eg. pepper). Some hawkers would be patient enough to tell us options that are safe for my partner to eat.

Feel free to share if you have faced any issues eating at a hawker centre!

Hello, food allergy community!

I am a final year student studying at NTU, and the purpose of this community is for me to conduct research to identify relevant products or service solutions to help make food more accessible in hawker centres for people with food allergies.

I hope to request your participation in this survey for me to learn about the journey, pain points and barriers of people with food allergies.
