Hey all, after a bit of a hiatus of our podcast I'm trying get it kicked off again, anyway - I've been switching up some tooling and doing upgrades to various things.

Previously when using Reaper, I enjoyed using the automixer plugin, and as I've been trying out other DAWs I've been thinking having a plugin that's not host/application specific would be a good thing to have.

WT AUTOMIXER looks great, but also doesn't seem to have had any updates since 2024, which seems to coincide with Shure buying them, and I can't find any useful links about if Shure have released a version under their own branding or not.

Is it just me, or has TIDAL dropped the quality of a lot of albums/tracks lately, for example Black Country Communion - https://tidal.com/album/6865889 seems to be 96kbps LOW quality.

Has the behaviour of ctrl-tab changes recently? I first noticed it a few days ago, pressing ctrl-tab USED to open a mini-pop of recent tabs to cycle to, but now it's silently just going to the next, next, next tab.

I can't remember if this was part of a mod or not as I first noticed it on a new Macbook with no mods/synced setup, but now I find it on my main machine.

Is the forum down for anyone else or just me.

*sigh* started aa 7hr road trip today and found all my cached music decided to somehow “corrupt” it self, now I’m deleting 1.2tb or so on content to resync :(

Now this is a weird one... I was sitting here coding away, talking in Slack, when I spotted an error message popup up in Logseq saying it could update my .git folder to set the repository format.

Upon investigation it seems something overwrote my .git FILE and removed the gitdir: ... entry. I totally forgot that logseq's git plugin uses that format to store the actual git repo/files under ~/.logseq.

Anyone seen this behaviour before?

Sure, I'm using Zen Twilight and should expect breakages and bugs, but please - stop just deleting tab groups with zero trace.

Now to remember what books I had queueed up to buy, and other research topics.

And remember to never trust tabs when I should use an external bookmark manager.

Anyone else here having issues with Splits in the last few Twilight builds?

After migrating a whole heap of Amazon books from my Kindle, I've pulled into Calibre a bunch of old publications I used to subscribe to (and intend to resub directly for) such as Asimov's Science Fiction and Analog Science Fiction and Fact.

The metadata on these all import with the same title, so I was wondering what the best way to handle this in Calibre is.

Initially I thought a Series might be good, but that only lets me track book 1, 2, 3, 4 etc. wheras the magazine subscriptionns are bi-monthly.

So, two questions:

1. Can I automate the renaming of titles to be "Title - $publishedDate" via some form of macro/automation (if not, I'll manually do that over 200 odd issues).

Is it possible to create a Smart Playlist or Collection based on track/album length?

Back in the old iTunes days I had an "epics" playlist of tracks longer than 15 minutes. Would have to have something similar, and more - albums less than 30mins (to pick up any mislabelled EPs/Singles) etc.

It doesn't look like any such metadata is tracked?

Hey all, after returning from my New Year break I've been noticing that my headless PlexAmp doesn't seem to updated the last played details on my Plex server, so no Smart Playlist updates or scrobbles etc.

However, if I reboot the Raspberry Pi - I doo see the plays eventually appear (sadly all with the current timestamp tho, long standing issue with offline plays) - even tho all the music has been played from my MacMini via PlexAmp remote controlling the Pi.

Anyone noticed this at all? Or had anything similar? I don't seem to spot anything in the Plex Media Server logs for updating play counts or anything obvious.

I see this firmware just now popped up for install on my 653D - is this the same as the dodgy one from a few days ago? That build date (21) seems a few days ago....

Anyone know if it's possible to find out how a song was made available offline on my device? Like - what playlist/provider it came from?

Trying to work out which playlist sync might be going rogue on me :)
