First time posting in this community, but this subreddit has seriously helped so much with our family establishing a healthy relationship with our current nanny. Seriously, she is INVALUABLE and I couldn't have asked for a better caretaker for my son.
One of the influencers I follow has written a wonderful book about the Nanny-child relationship and is looking for Kickstarter supporters. The book is slated to come out in October, so I backed it hoping to give it to my nanny for Christmas along with her holiday bonus. If you are like me and want to show extra appreciation to your nanny, I think this would be a wonderful gift. Just wanted to spread the word and hope
My husband and I just bought a house in MA back in January and we've been getting some random plants growing/blooming in our yard as we approach summer. It looks like the previous owners had planted a lot of flowers, especially those that are friendly to bees. Most of the flowers have already bloomed but I have this unidentified plant in the middle of a flower bed and I can't figure out whether it's a weed or not. Should I pull this out??
FH and I are finalizing our website before sending out save the dates and we'd love for the wedding party to be introduced in the website. Asking for their favorite color is a bit of a bore. What were some of your questions for your wedding party?
I just got offered two job positions. One is more of a standard 9-5 job in formulations. Another is as a field service engineer for an analytical instrumentation company. Both have their pros and cons.
Since being a field service engineer is such a unique position, I wanted to ask chemmit what they have heard or experienced from someone in this career field. How's the work-life balance? Does it ever get overwhelming?
I'm looking to do a lent devotional with my SO this year and it'd be nice to get some recommendations from reddit! So out of all the devos you've ever done, which ones were your favorite? Which ones really opened your eyes to see Easter in a richer way?
I'm assigned to lead a small group this semester in my college fellowship with a Jehovah's Witness in the group. We have set ground rules for the student already (No prophesizing, no pushing of beliefs, no witnessing) and have established a group that is made up of only Christians to prevent confusion for seekers. I know some of the basics of what JWs believe (No trinity, no JC as God, no hell), but I want to be more equipped. What are their beliefs and what verses can I use to back up the Christian theology?
I'm currently in my last year as an undergraduate, and will be graduating this Spring (2014). My masters studies are planned to start next Fall (2014), but I will have nothing to do in the summer between undergrad graduation and graduate school. Do you have any suggestions for internships/research opportunities I could look into, so I could start applying? I've been having a rough time trying to find internships because so many of them require you to be an undergraduate during the summer internship, which I won't be.
As for research interests, I want to go into med chem/synthetic organic chemistry and I especially want to stay far far away from analytical chemist
