I've been happy with the whole thing. It's working great through 3 mowings of my 3 acres.
The ONLY questionable moment in my whole modification of the deck was these bad blade bolts - came with the spindles. As I torqued them down, I worried.
Sure enough, after two months, 3 mows - the blades are loose.
I haven't yet pulled it but I know it's those bolts OR bad taps in the spindles.
question: I'm not willing to go search for new spindles hoping for better manufacturing yet.
The threads don't match the old bolts I have, and I'm asking for any knowledge of securing the bolts I have now.

It's just so perfectly realized by picture editor, music editor, and astonishing how script and shooting had to foresee this lovely 5:34 bit.
Standout moments among dozens: The kid who lights up when Roy says "fuck no!"
And this one: The juxtaposition of Higgins greeting his beloved wife, "dressed in blue"
Had me yelp out loud at the sheer beauty of it, like a rom-com on steroids with better editing.
Anyone got other bits of this triumphant stretch of humanity to mention?
I'm repairing a Craftsman YS 4500, bought as is, and a deck that I'm modifying to fit. (Don't bother explaining how stupid that is, I'm doing it anyway. I have my reasons)
ONLY ONE QUESTION:
HOW TIGHT THE BELT?
I have purchased a 100.97 inch, and a 100 inch. Now I have a choice between a deflection of 1 1/2 " or 1/2".
(deflection measured at the rear-most point, centered between the mandrels, with deck lowered)
Been lurking here since my mower guy quit. 4 acres to mow. Had serious problems getting someone else in my area.
I needed a mower person or a new mower. Watching here. All spring and summer getting desperate. Had some impressions until today I saw this Cub Cadet for $899 on Facebook Ad.
???
Did I think phishing scheme? Yep.
Did I buy one anyway? Yep.
Not a bot or troll, I'm asking if I got phished?
I mean, Cub Cadet not the most robust zero turn? But I paid a guy $600 twice to come out here.
I've seen a few posts on the frustrations of ER visits with LC.
I've been in LC subs for 5 years soaking up the massive amounts of sincere anecdotes from suffering people with no agenda. After all the stories I can offer this:
I honestly don't think basic LC will kill you. And also I can't think of why it would ever be an emergency situation.
I mean, it gets frighteningly bad, or it becomes consistent over long periods with no relief - and therefore very frightening, or a new symptom appears that you're unfamiliar with - pure doom.
We have hope in our remedies and treatments. But these succeed or fail over weeks or months or years.
In real Long Covid, your heart and lungs a
The first time I noticed anything different about myself:
I was 57, had done everything I had ever dreamed of in a difficult, creative field, never a doubt about it, always diving in with confidence that I could figure out any obstacle, I could manage people, and self-sufficient creativity was the motivation..
One day walking by the TV was on a daytime talk show .
I stopped and stared at it with this feeling: "How do they get all the people and parts together to put on a show every day for an hour?"
I had never felt that. It took me another few weeks into LC to define it:
An innate, instinctive, almost reptilian sense of INCAPABILITY. Before brain fog or a

Maybe 1/3 of posts on here tell their very good stories of their Medical system experiences, lots of expertise, nomenclature, and quality help in their LC journeys.
Others, like me, seem to be wandering solo with scant medical advice or random, disconnected encounters with Docs that end in abandonment.
How do people get so involved and helped by multiple Docs and Specialists when I can't seem to get an appt?
(This is not about insurance - I'm USA-medicare- or I'd pay cash if anybody would take it)
I believe my 2020 LC has changed. I had slowly got it under control, by which I mean relatively. I was not close to "normal". But I could recognize the several collections of symptoms as they came and went, and had some protocols which I could alter for each version. Plus my poor immune response to new acute pathogens was def. getting better - very little in the way of flu or cold or latent viral flares.
Then I got a recurring "gout-like" symptom across first my toes, then my whole front of foot. It was debilitating, painful, and I could feel it across my whole body, and I was bedbound until Doc prescribed Prednisone assuming Gout. So I beat it once, then 1 month later it was back,, s
I bought a "needs work" ys 4500. the deck was laying in the grass next to the tractor.
It seems the deck is for a non-PTO tractor. I looked at pics of both.
I'd like to refurbish and use the deck I have. Why can't I just lock the belt take-up wheels in engaged position?
Will I have a blade brake issue? Can I ignore that?
I have natural volunteer poppies. Every summer I harvest pods and dry them for tea. I make very low doses so I have no use for latex, but I have scored the pods and thrown away the latex because I don't want to bother with any of that.
Now it's summer and I finally want to hear opinions on dried pods strictly for tea: Slice or no?
I had my system working great. A pre-treatment tank of about 700 gallons with large Ozone filter.
I would fill that tank and treat for 4 days, then transfer to my 1500 gallon main tank.
The first gush from the well always smelled of iron/iron bacteria. You could see a few brown bubbles - bacteria colonies, and after 1 day of Ozone filtering, clean, clear. You could see a pin on the bottom of the tank.
So my well guy looked at all this and said I could avoid all that fussing/transfering if he did a Boresaver on the well.
Now we have massive bacteria colonies, gunk on the tank bottom after 4 days, all pipes are brown, slime everywhere AND WE CANT DRINK THE STUFF without get
250 ft well, long in use, always had a bad smell on first gush. I built a treatment tank with an ozone filter. Well water sat in treatment for 4 days before it would be transferred to "pristine" main tank.
It was a lot of weekly fussing, tending all that by hand. (I had planned to automate some of it with float switches, etc. but never got around to it)
The resulting water was beautiful, tasted great and tested fine.
Eventually signed up with a service to help out. They didn't bother my treatment system but changed my filters and cleaned the ozone filter.
So one guy says I could clean that well with Boresaver.
So I let the pros clean the well, let it run clear, and test t
California committed to a bullet train from San Francisco to Los Angeles many years ago.
Famously, the ensuing years yielded ridicule from one side and defense from the other.
The corruptions and crazy political games brought no bullet trains but much money spent and a couple miles of track in Fresno.
Cut to 2023: The great bullet train from LA to Las Vegas is being prepared and looks well funded!
So CA will have its bullet train. To Vegas.
