A trade union surveyed 450 out of its 3,200 paramedics members:
- 70% of them are looking to quit the job (which is not recognized as a profession in Quebec)
- 50% are already looking for new work.
Paramedics in Quebec complain about having by far the lowest pay in emergency services, being overworked, having no time for lunch and having to finish their shifts late. On top of that, the Health Minister of Quebec announced that paramedics will be asked to work in long-term healthcare facilities to assist the on-going staff crisis.
It's a shit time to be / become a paramedic. I've been thinking about quitting as a paramedic student.
Hello people,
For whatever reason, my phone started limiting the audio output. The audio is ridiculously low when I use headphones or car stereos connected by aux cable. I noticed that when I connect the aux cable to the phone, a headphone icon pops up in the upper right corner of the phone suggesting it's some kind of safety feature. This issue does not occur when using bluetooth.
Is anyone experiencing this issue? Has anyone been able to resolve it?
PS: disabling absolute volume limiter hasn't helped.

Hey y'all,
Being a paramedic is a physical job that requires muscle strength and movement coordination. I'm looking for a training program that would highlights important exercices that would help reduce risk of injury on the job.
Anyone has a nice gym program and cares to share with a newbie student?
Thanks a ton!
