I'm banging my head against the wall here. I've got files I'm slicing in Orcaslicer that sometimes print, sometimes immediately force my printer into a MCU error. It seems to be random as I'll change nothing in the file, but reuploading exactly the same slicer code will print fine, or so I think.

My klipper.log is here

The gcode file is here.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Last year, while I was doing our taxes, Ufile informed me that we had overcontributed to my wife's RRSP for the year. We saw that a penalty of 1% monthly would be charged on this overcontribution, so we wanted to fix this problem.

We, at the same time, wanted to get off of TD Banking, as we couldn't trust them after their guilty activities in the USA. So, we moved over to Meridian, thinking we would prefer a co-op bank, for the service.

We told the bankers at Meridian the situation of the overpayment and that I had lots of built up RRSP contribution space I had never used while working. We said we wanted to reduce the overpayment by $2000 and open an RRSP in my own name to do contributions

I was having a layer shifting issue and couldn't figure out why my X was moving with resistance.

It turns out my tensioner was a little too tight and it had snapped. My x belt had started rubbing and was skipping steps when moving too fast.

If you have layer shifting, maybe check your tensioners, and don't tighten them quite as tight as a guitar string like mine were... D'oh!

I've owned the Neptune 4 Max for about 2 weeks now, with a few nice sucessful prints, but a few major headaches too.

I've had a few prints now stop at random places during the print, freezing the printer completely until I perform a power cycle. Sometimes it takes a long time to reboot after that power cycle. Sometimes it takes a 2nd cycle of the power.

When I look at my klippy.log I see a line of NUL NUL NUL which makes me think it's a EMMC problem, but replacing the emmc with a different board and freshly flashed .img didn't help.

Anyone have thoughts for me and my fresh printer?

If we are living in a simulation, I think the best possibility is that we are living in Sid Meier's Civilization MMXVI, but in this save game the person decided to maximize the technology branches, without upgrading any of the economics branches since the 1950's.

So many of our systems right now are failing, not because the technology behind them is bad, but because all the motivations of society are to make money; and currently, making money means rent-seeking and con-jobs on the mass scale, because that's the only way we can pay back all that juicy venture capitalist money...

We probably also forgot to upgrade our spirituality branch for a while, but that's a rant for another sub.

Canadaland should have thought the idea of using AI Art over human artists more before their use.

I have friends and family in both music and design and they said Canadaland had already used generative AI over a human and that will never be acceptable to me. Sorry, it's not "inevitable." It's a choice corporations are making and Canadaland should have done better. Do I idealize them and expect too much? Maybe, but it's my money and they won't get it again.

Forethought is important, and it was vastly missed this time.
