So, I'm planning to do a session set in the Final Fantasy 14 setting. This includes the Garlean Race, who in lore, are literally incapable of naturally using magic. Yet, thanks to their history with this limitation, they've invented Magitek; literally just technology that imitates magic and let's them use magic.
I personally feel this invalidates the inability to use magic. If they can just use magic through pieces of metal, why take away their ability to use magic?
The fan-made source book for this setting just says to let them be magic using classes and reflavor all of their abilities to be magitek. I'm not entirely opposed to this idea, I'm just not a fan of it either. Because if Garlea
But what he doesn't realize, is that EVERYTHING is a meme. He won't be able to say a single word without it becoming a meme.
Also, happy 2005 everyone!
Geez jerma, it was a joke. Please don't hate me BibleThump.
So, I figured since I like tanking, and I like healing, the "Basically Paladin" class would be nice. Asked a guildie for help and they gave me a generic rundown of stats on items, since they haven't played much guardian. I have no idea how these items tie into my skills or roles.
From what I understand: Berserker = Melee DPS, Crusader/Soldier = tank and Shaman = heals, but as I said, I have no idea what skills these go with.
I'm currently messing around with the level-boost trial, and it is overwhelming. (A text-based tutorial with a training dummy would have been better than dumping me in an end-game zone and telling me to knock myself out)
Ideally, I'd like to do PvE, fractals or dungeo
For example, can I have a macro that uses several different abilities to chain them up? I know the macro system allows it to be done, I just want to know if its "legal" to use.
Edit: I understand that its a DPS loss. I probably should have mentioned this first, I only really need it to level cause pressing the same buttons in the right order while leveling is tedious. For leveling, I'm perfectly fine with having slightly less DPS.
Edit 2: Seriously, I get it. I lose DPS doing this. This isn't about being efficient. Its about being lazy while killing trash mobs in the overworld. I'm not going to do this in dungeons, or raids, or guild-brawl-banana-hests.
I have tried everything I can think of. Data Execution Prevention, I've ran the D2VidTest (funnily enough, it says "THIS COMPUTER CANNOT DUN Diablo 2! Video Test did not detect any useable video modes") edit: after getting a glide wrapper, an option did appear at the bottom: "3dfx Glide: 3dfx Glide", I've run the game and launcher in compatibility mode for every version of windows.
No matter what, I always get a "Unhandled Exception: Access_Violation (c00000005)" error. Which the little bit of research I did, means that something in the entirety of my diablo 2 folder is missing. Doesn't tell me what, its just a generic error saying something is missing.
However, like I said, D2SE, and
I've been thinking of buying the game and some of the big things that are pushing me away are Limited Respawns and Gas/Fuel/whatever controlling how many matches you can play. But I think the last one is only for raids? I've always hated games with "energy meters" that restrict how long you can play, but if its limited to one part of the game, I can probably look past it. Same with the limited respawns.
So if you could tell me which are the two best things this game does, and the two worst things it does, I can gauge whether my problems are worth considering, or if they're the "worst" things in the game.
