My lease is month-to-month after completing the original term in September.
Like mow a field with a Super M attached to a sickle. Herd up hogs and get them on a trailer for sale. Slaughter a number of chickens for this weeks dinner. Clean the turkey he just shot near the end of the season. Cry when his diesel bill comes due. Going without fert this year due to rocketing prices.
These are my pipedreams.
I live in a pre-war building so insulation and soundproofing are lackluster compared to modern multi-family dwellings.
Anyways, my original landlord retired and sold the building to cash out and get out of the game (I respect that; I'd do it too). She had a simple lease and simple rules: no pets, no smoking, no crazy partys.
Enter new landlord in January. She immediately started renovating the empty units so she could ask a premium for the units. Well, the newly renovated flat I share a wall with got two new tenants three weeks ago: a jackass and his pitbull because we're pet friendly now.
Not only does the dog charge the door to escape every time my neighbor comes and goes, it barks AL
And if god exists, he'll have to beg my forgiveness.
