Canberra is getting cold, I'm in an all electric house with a pool.... Basically my usage is anywhere from 40-55kwh a day in winter.... The main culprit is the morning and evening heater.

Just wondering what others usage is like? I know mine is high, but until I can get more insulation and new double glazed windows I'm not sure how I can lower my bill without being cold and unhappy.

Heater is generally set to 20C in the morning and evening.

I've just got a creami for Christmas, and keen to try out some good tried and tested full fat recipes.

Hi all, quick question. I had a ceiling fan installed about a month ago. It's been working fine until yesterday where the ww led light stopped working. The other light colours worked ok still.

It was a warm night so I left the light off (it was night anyway) and left the fan on.

Midway through the night it started to smell, a fairly strong electrical smell. It was pretty weird. Chatgpt told me to turn the fan off at the switchboard, so on the lights circuit.

I feel safer, and I've made a warranty claim. But I'm scared to turn the circuit back on, how can I disconnect the fan from the power so I can have my house lights back on?

I've been having a think lately about who the best rock drummers of all time are..... In my opinion, Rob Hirst from Midnight Oil is right up there.

The energy and excitement he brings to live performances is unparalleled in my opinion. Plus.... His kit includes an iron corrugated iron tank. That's cool!

Apparently he's recently been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, and has just sold his drumkit for charity.

So my question is, in light of the uncertainty currently within the ecosystem..... Should I upgrade to an xbox series x.... Or should I wait and see what happens?

The tile says is all really. My partner has a lot of friends and wants a big first birthday party. I'm more introverted and want a family only party.

I think one of the main reasons is the fact that she has so many good friends and i basically don't have many at all.

I've got friends, but they're either out of town, or specific to a hobby where most haven't even met my son.

Honestly, I'm dressing his birthday which really sucks.

So I'm looking at getting a new Jersey and thought I'd have a look on ebay for any reasonable second hand options.... What I've seen instead is a heap of very cheap new jerseys, which I can only assume are very fake.

In saying that, has anyone actually purchased one of these cheap jerseys, and if so how is the quality?

The reason I was looking for a second hand Jersey is I just can't justify the $150+ price tag the legit new ones cost..... So if the fake ones are reasonable, I'd probably consider it!

I like the uncluttered app, the artist/production credits, the album reviews, the sound quality, and the fact that I can feel a little bit better about artist royalties.

What do you guys like about it?

I just randomly thought of this today and it's doing my head in that I can't think of the supermarket name.

I vaguely remember some ads in the 80s where an annoying voice would say "cheap but choosy".

This is a fairly maligned movie.... But I loved it as a kid.... And having just watched it again as an adult, I still love it!

The comedy is so weird it's hilarious.... It's extremely silly, and the storyline is a fairly poor excuse to make one off gags.

But still, and it's probably nostalgia speaking, but I thought it was great.

I think I'm literally the only one who told this.... I am right?
