Hello!! I’ve got the sweetest honey dew melon and prosciutto di parma! Some British medium cheddar cheese! Nocellera olives! I’m making an apricot ricotta pie right now, going to drizzle some honey on top! I’ve just pulled out the best sour dough I’ve ever made from the oven, thick crust & boingy on the inside. We can spread some cold cream butter & truffle pâté on it!Meet me at the biggest peach tree for sunset to share in my feast! Would be very decent of you to bring some wine :)

Hello! I’ve recently substituted tv for books (couldn’t be more stoked about that decision) and over the last few months I’ve read;

Sky without stars, Scythe, Thunderhead, Stardust, Spinning Silver, Uprooted, Dark matter, The Night Circus,

-I’ve loved them all.. especially the scythe series and naomi novik’s fairytales. I also love his dark materials trilogy and the alchemist.

I have a few books sparking my interest but I’m pretty indecisive and also even hoping a new wonderful suggestion may fall in my lap...

Im sure I’ll love the Brandon Sanderson & Robin Hobb books but my boyfriend has read them recently, and told me a lot about them that I want to forget before I get in

I like to have some other stimulus going on while I’m writing, but it’s a fine balance - for example, I’m not able to focus on my writing if there’s an interesting tv show on in the background, but I also struggle focusing on writing if it’s quiet and too still.

This is why writing outside a cafe or in the park, anywhere you can gaze off and there’s life going on, seems to be ideal for me but if I’m writing at home, I like to sit on the couch with my laptop and want something going on the tv that’s nice to look at but doesn’t attract my full attention.

I’m imagining a video with hd animal footage and lounge music over it or something..

Or a show like ‘adventure time’ with the volume real

I think Scandinavia already does this? If someone’s from there, would love to know ups & downs of it..

Anyways, I think prison makes more criminals. I can’t imagine how going to prison makes you less of a criminal, just makes you want to be better about not getting caught once you’re out again.

I think prison has enough of its own culture, that you end up feeling more that you aren’t a member of society and more of a misfit, and then even more likely to engage in behaviour against society.

I don’t think it matters how long you sit in there. You aren’t going to “learn a lesson” being isolated from society. You’re going to be less and less assimilated to society.

I think prison shou

Hi! Please help me choose my next book to love.

I recently finished his dark materials trilogy :) love fantasy themes mixed with real life analogies etc. I started the second trilogy, book of dust- but thought I’d like to take a break from that world before getting really into it.

I loved the Eragon series, The alchemist, the glass castle, I also enjoyed perks of being a wall flower quite a bit.

Anyone really passionate about a book that may fit in with the themes of these books I enjoy?

I’ve taken some notes of commonly suggested books here, Such as “red rising” and “cloud atlas” and “the stranger”.

But still can’t decide :/
