I've been in the gym for 5.5 months, and i found out recently that I'm actually 180 lbs, and I'm technically overweight. Originally, I guessed that I was 10-15 pounds lighter, which was dumb, and I wanted to do a recomposition for a lean, athletic build and get rid of stomach fat. Knowing now that I'm bigger than i thought, I want to cut. Have I been wasting time?
I'm 22. 5'8, 160lbs. I'm aiming for lean physique/body recomp and getting rid of my stomach fat, and I have been in the gym since January.
This is my routine. 3 days a week.
A day:
3 x lateral raises
3 × kettlebell swing
3 × planks
3× lunges
3× bicep curls
B day:
3× pushups
3× squats
3× bicycle crunches
3× roman deadlift
3× chest press
3×shoulder press
Sometime in late March. I wasn't in the gym for about 3 weeks cause of switching gyms for convenience reasons. When I came back, I started taking it slow and then tweaked my routine and increased my weights, but I realized recently that, so far, that my routine isn't that great, and my diet sucks and I only eat to s
Started a new job at a tire shop as a GS last week. Basically I'm supposed to be here at 6:45am and leave at 5:45pm, five days a week. Sometimes, I'm 10-15 mins late because I dont have reliable transportation, but my manager doesn't care that much, and he seems like a chill guy. Occasionally, i leave at around 5 if there's no work and there's enough coworkers that'll stay til 6, and I can catch the bus earlier.
But the majority of my shift, there's nothing to do, and business has been slow. Mostly shadowing and cleaning up. I'll occasionally do an oil change or mess with tires. It's incredibly boring. Yeah, I'm making more money, but by the time I get home, I dont have time for other acti
My car broke down two weeks ago. I can't no longer afford to repair the car. Insurance considered it a total loss from an unrelated accident, and I'll only be getting 1000k from it. I had about 600 in my savings, which I had to take nearly 200 out of, so I won't be stupid broke for the next couple of days after my car broke down. I'll be getting the rest of my tax refund soon, but it won't be much cause it was already small. I just started a full-time job, but I need another side hustle or job cause it's going to take forever to get a new car. I need at least 3k-4k. It's going to be difficult with no vehicle. Any ideas?
Got an offer at Autozone as a retail associate and commercial driver and another at an independent tire shop as a general service technician. The problem is the tire shop already has me scheduled for next Wednesday. Autozone still doesn't have a finalized schedule for me, but it might be Tuesday.
Autozone will $13 and hrn the tire shop is $14 an hr during the probation period, then it's $15 after. I want to work on cars, but the tire shop doesn't sound all great, with 7-5 shift and a 30-minute break, and there's no upward mobility like the Autozone, but Autozone sounds kinda boring tbh. I've been thinking about it for a few days now, but I need to make a decision by the end of today. I don'
Next week, I'm going to start working at an independent tire shop as a general service tech. It sounded good until i was told near the end of the interview that I'll be working from 7-5, and we have a 30-minute break, which is crazy. that's 10 hours. Is that even ethical? At previous shops, I had 8 hour shifts with hour long breaks. I need a job but also I don't like the sound of this. I can see if I at least had an hour break, but 30 minutes is nasty.
Edit: This is VA
I'm 22, and I just got my first secured credit card two weeks ago, so I'm trying to build credit. I just got a call recently for an unpaid canceled insurance bill from October being sent to collections. I think. It could affect my credit score if unpaid. I'm going to pay it tomorrow, but I'm worried it's too late, and it'll ruin my credit before I even get a report. Is it too late? I'll be so pissed
