I keep seeing this one particular guy who keeps holding onto my bike, like he's going to rub my seat, caress my handlebar, or poke a hole in my handlebar. Part of me was thinking: he is standing on a moving train; he has to hold on to something. The other part of me was like... dude, get off my bike!

One day, we were planning a wedding; the next, the wedding was off.
We were planning a wedding with her mom. Her mom was overbearing, and I was overwhelmed, so I had to leave. I called my former fiancé that night about how overwhelmed I was dealing with her and that I wanted all three of us to sit down and set some boundaries. Her mom forced her to tell her everything we talked about. She did not like the idea of "boundaries," took it the wrong way, and made my former fiancé pick between her family and me; she even threatened her that if she picked me, she would be banned from any family gathering. Therefore, she was stuck in the box; she brought up some of our past issues that had already
Her mother is the big reason why we broke up. Her mother is overbearing and invasive; I am not comfortable around her. She took control of our wedding planning, and it was too much for me to bear. I had to go home. My fiancé didn't put her foot down and draw the line; she appeases her. I was worried that this was what my married life would be like: her mom overstepping into our lives. I called her to say that we need to set the boundaries. Little did I know that her mom made her use speakerphone to hear our conversation. They argued all night, and her mom talked to her out of our relationship. When she initiated the breakup, she told me that her mom forced her to choose between her family an
I’m not married yet, but before you guys tell me to end this relationship, I love my fiancée. We are both working on it, but I need to vent! I freaked out hard yesterday. I realized how invasive her mom can be. At first, I heard from my fiancée that her mom is seriously considering a multi family home. I said hell no! Then, yesterday, we were at her mom’s house and I’ve been sitting there hearing her criticize our wedding planning so far. That’s fine. But… she asked us to give her access to our email so she can take care of our wedding stuff. Then, when I tried to speak to my fiancée is a different language, her mom demanded her daughter to translate what I said. We felt that it wasn’t fair
I’ve been thinking about getting a brompton c line 12 speeds for a while now. Then, I talked to this one dude with a brompton 6 speed and he told me he struggles at 13 mph and it took him 20 minutes to ride 2 miles… I’m a bit concerned. I want to commute to work, it’s about 4 miles from my house to the ferry. With my normal hybrid bike, it takes me 15 minutes…
I am moving to Alameda soon, and swimming is my main form of exercise. Unfortunately, I do not see any YMCA, City Sports, or similar gyms on that island. However, I do see Encinal Pool, which belongs to a High School. If the school is in session, I would not be able to swim in that pool at any time, right? I looked into Harbor Bay, I like it, but I cannot see the membership price... Any suggestions?
My wife and I got married recently, and we are in our early 30s. We want to have kids eventually, but for now, we want to enjoy our married life. We have stuff we want to do on our list before kids come along. BUT! Our MIL kept pressuring us to have a child and kept saying that we would be less likely to have children the older we get. She kept bringing up her imaginary time-ticking bomb on when we will no longer be able to get pregnant. In addition, my wife's older sister isn't having kids, so the pressure is on us. Her sister doesn't even want to have kids, and I don't think she should. I respect her decision; you don't want to have kids, don't have them. My wife is slowly changing her min
I usually jog on a threadmill on a 5-5.5 mph pace for 40 minutes, it’s light for me. But a couple hours after that, my inner knees get sore. I take a break for a day or maybe a week to feel comfortable again, jog again and feel the soreness. I wear proper running shoes and arch supports all provided by podiatrist. I tried midfoot strike more often. Any advices??

reddit.comI am in my 30s and have been working in tech for years now. Knowing that I do not want to be in tech for the rest of my life, I have been considering a career change. When I was in high school, I wanted to be an architect, but I was deeply discouraged when I compared my urban artworks to my peers' in my art class. I also read that the salary in architecture is not always practical, which is another reason I backed out. However, the fascination with building designs never left me. I am in awe when I see cool houses and interiors. Furthermore, my parents were real estate agents, so I got to visit several houses, and we sometimes slept over in them to get a feel for what it is like to live in t
