I’m currently doing an Honour Mode run with Durge (Wild Magic sorc) as my face. Maybe I just suck at using Reddit’s questionably useful search function, but I’ve been unable to find any clear info on whether or not casting spells like Guidance or Enhance Ability (specifically casted by my Durge) for checks mid-dialogue would run the risk of a harmful WM surge ending the dialogue prematurely and/or provoking combat immediately post-dialogue as a result. This is assuming Tides of Chaos and Bend Luck have already been spent; I’d obviously continue to prioritize those when they’re available.

I imagine this has been asked before, so I apologize in advance for my poor search engine skills. First spoiler is my question, following spoilers are supplementary details.

This is an Honour Mode run, so I can't rely on save scumming (not allowing myself to use task manager to save scum either).

!I just finished Act 2, defeated Orpheus's honour guard in the Astral Prism, then declined the Emperor's offer to commune with the Astral Tadpole. Is it safe for me to convince my companions to commune with the Astral Tadpole without my Durge automatically being forced to commune with it as well? My Durge has not consumed any tadpoles, so I didn't have to deal with passing the DC 21 WIS sa

…and they were a friend of a friend who didn’t know my name, what I looked like, or that I even existed 4 hours prior. I’m 28.

We basically found ourselves in a potentially really ugly survival situation where it became a very real possibility that I could have ended up permanently disfigured and significantly physical disabled for the rest of my life (barely able to walk, if at all). I was pretty much stuck in my predicament and doomed to slowly deteriorate because of how far out in nature we were unless someone volunteered both potentially highly uncomfortable social vulnerability as well as clear physical risk to save me. I was starting to just do what little I could to mitigate the da

After my 11th 1 week to 3-month long attempt at a serious relationship in a row, I think it's become clear that I'm just never going to be loved by someone. I would be delusional to think otherwise. If 11 different people have made the same judgment and not one has thought otherwise, I need to just accept who the least common denominator is and realize that I'm almost always the problem. I can't stop myself from being so intense, I can't stop myself from losing agency and becoming consumed by my feelings, and I can't stop myself from having constant meltdowns as a result.

As an adult, I've always had plenty of friends, including a steady best friend of over a decade and consistent close fri

I imagine I'm probably not alone here in having a relationship history consisting of a long string of 1-3 month long failed situationships and I don't have to go into the whole "I just want to be loved" thing.

Does anyone else feel instantly crushed the moment someone says, "my bf/gf/husband/wife/partner" in everyday conversations? Even if it's someone I'm especially happy for regarding their current relationship status, like my friend who's mutually in love with someone great right now, it hits me right away and reminds me of how completely lonely I feel. I have to fight to not immediately dissociate and zone out from the conversation and then my mood is even further trashed than it always

What do I do? I hardly drink these days and because my mood is generally okay right now, I've decided to drink (not gonna drink into alcohol poisoning range of course) to hopefully knock myself out because nothing else I have access to reliably forces me to sleep. I would rather have to work hungover as fuck than potentially ruin my entire life again. I've come so far, I have real career prospects that are leading me towards my dreams, I've been stable (mania-wise) for about 7 years, and I'm so scared of losing it all to this disease. My psychiatrist is overloaded with clients and even if I get a crisis appointment, it will likely be 2-3 days before he can see me, and if I'm awake for 72 hou
