Just got a free macbook pro from a relative. It has a broken battery and no charger.

I plan to use it for coding with eclipse ide(latest) in spring framework/springboot and possibly ios apps in the future. Can this machine still handle it?

It is expensive for me to buy a battery and charger so hoping for someone to tell me if it is worth it to fix it? Thank you!

Does the pioneer/first employees usually have higher salaries than others in the local industry?

BTW, im a fresh grad. Thanks!
