We'll be opening an alehouse later this year and need to finalize our buildout plans. As part of that, I would like to better understand how we might leverage video walls (and floors?) for menus and entertainment. If I wanted a setup at home I can tinker with (2-3 panels?) to understand what's possible, what all do I need?

If I wanted something that was outdoor friendly, do I need to take anything into consideration / special hardware beyond outdoor rated panels?

Is there any good documentation for noobs to this space? It would be especially helpful to see common e2e setups and related guides.

Thanks in advance! <3

I’d like to extend WiFi coverage to edges of my property for WiFi cameras and outdoor WFH when the weather is nice. My assumption is that I would need to run cable to outside to connect any outdoor APs to my network.

If I were to get the U6 Mesh, will it work with only power as long as it’s in range of another AP? Or do I still need to run cable to hardwire it like my other APs?

I read through all of the UniFi docs but it wasn’t clear to me what “mesh” requires in the UniFi ecosystem. My only experience with mesh is Netgear Orbi which ultimately led me to getting a UDM 😂

My current setup:

  • UDM SE
  • U6 LR
  • U6 Lite

Lot size is 0.34 acres (14,810 sq ft)

Last year my wife manually input all the Kraken games into our shared calendar. It was a PITA… I would love to automate this somehow - is there a way to programmatically retrieve the Kraken schedule? Or at least a google calendar we can subscribe to?

Along the lines of Angular ESLint, are there any packages that provide ESLint rules around writing SSR friendly code?

I'm currently adding Angular Universal support to a major Angular project and would like to ensure the team is writing SSR friendly code through tooling.

Example rules based on Angular Universal's gotchas:

  • no usage of window
  • use ViewportScroller instead of window.scrollTo
  • no usage of isPlatform*, use DI instead

My wife and I still have hearing impairment in our right ears from this truck intentionally trolling people with their train horn leaving the game.

If you were affected or have footage, please let me know. I’ve reported bigbank to the various authorities and the more people who speak up the more likely action will be taken.

After the recent heat bubble in the PNW, we decided to upgrade our 2,200 sq ft split-level home with a heat pump. We got quotes from two different reputable companies but they are pretty different.

Do these quotes seem reasonable? Is the Trane setup worth almost $30k aft

Is anyone using Laravel with VSCode / Github codespaces? What has your experience been? How do I add support?

I'm trying to streamline the process of contributing to my project and codespaces seems like a great option. I'm currently using Laragon on my primary devbox and am a bit out of my depth trying to add support for codespaces / containers / docker.

I have a vue project whose entrypoint is a specific route in an ASP.NET Core server (ex/ mywebpage.com/Home/Vue). I'm trying to build an Azure DevOps CI/CD pipeline for this website but I've hit a snag:

Every time I build my vue project, I have to manually update the layout .cshtml with references to the new css and js bundles. What is the easiest way to automate this process?

The C# project and Vue project are independent of eachother but are in the same git repo. They share the same parent folder inside the repo:

myProject
- source/
-- csharpproj
-- vueproj

My friend runs a small business and has asked me to migrate their existing website (HTML+CSS+jQuery) to NuxtJS.

The current site is 34 pages. About 2/3 of those will get converted into dynamic pages across 4 routes and I expect to create roughly a dozen components.

My gut says this is about a months worth of work. Does that seem reasonable? What seems like a fair price for this work? Are there sites you recommend for determining how much to charge people?
