Hi all!
I’ve been stewing on this for a few months now, so I thought I would turn to the experts. I’m getting married later this year and will be having my bachelorette at Disney World. For one night, we’ll be dressing as our favorite Disney Channel stars/characters (don’t worry, not in the parks, we know the costume rules!)
I’ve obviously got many favorites (Lizzie, HM, Kim Possible, etc - I was a kid in the 2000s) but I’m trying to pick one that could easily be turned “bridal”. I don’t necessarily have to be immediately distinguished as the bride, but having an outfit that may have slightly more white or “special” looking would be fun. I’ve tossed around ideas of one of Hannah’s outfits
Currently on the Treasure and, of course, having a fantastic time. But, I did something I’ve never done before last night…skipped a night in the rotational dining.
We ended our show not feeling too great. Lots of food, a full day in Grand Cayman, and just tired. So, we skipped the main dining and just ordered some soup from room service. Called it an early night.
Tonight at dinner, our serving team seemed a bit hurt that we won’t there. They asked multiple times where we were (even after sharing we didn’t feel well). They also seems to amp up the “remember, everything on DCL needs to be excellent, not good”. Our head server made multiple trips to our table to ensure we were having a good
My mom and I just disembarked the Fantasy this morning, and throughout the trip we reminisced on when we were “Family of the Week” on the Magic in March 2005. This was different from the “Family of the Day” that they do now, where you can board early.
From our memory, we got to board early, had treats waiting for us every day (things like chocolate covered strawberries, cheeses, little cakes, all placed during morning housekeeping), and we had the option to have a character visit us in our stateroom (we chose Belle). Pretty sure we got a certificate, too, but that has long been lost. We were NOT concierge, and it was just her and I.
I’ve searched everywhere online for when DCL used to do
Well, just got the email that our studio is closing. I feel like I just got news of a death. How wild is that? I actually feel like I’m grieving. So many years of work, almost 500 classes in…
On that note, does anyone have any recommendations of a comparable alternative?
I am so tired. Every day I tell myself that I’ll do it but I’m so scared. All I want is for everyone around me to have a better life, one without me, but I’m so scared of actually pulling the trigger. I wish I could just give them what they needed but I’m so scared
I searched through this sub and I don’t see anyone else talking about it which baffles me. This book has to have been the best I’ve read so far this year. Franny’s journey spans both physical distance and personal growth, taking place in a desolate and depressing future, void of animal life. I’m not sure how, but McConaghy’s writing truly left me COLD, as her imagery of Greenland, Antarctica, and the freezing waters was incredible. Not to even mention Franny’s growth as a character, coupled with the slow unraveling of her story. The final scene caught me in such a visceral way - I have been struggling with my own mental health but her ultimate decision made me just break down and cry. Wha
I ask this because it is absolutely essential knowledge for us all. My answer is Spaceship Earth, hands down. The Phoenicians just hit a little different after a few margaritas.
I apologize in advance for the negative, “woe is me” vibe to this post. I’m just in desperate need to vent my feelings to folks who will understand.
I graduated with my M.Ed in May. I’ve applied to around 75(ish) jobs (80% being in Higher Ed). Since then, I’ve been in 7 different searches and made it to the final round of 6. Each of them I received the “unfortunately you have not been chosen” email, or worse, the dreaded ghosting.
I’ve been desperately trying to both stay positive and constantly improve. After each interview, I allow myself to be introspective and really ask myself how I could have been better during the process. I talk with other folks in the field and debrief the inter
Turnips for 519. The store will be open for another hour; I'll try to get through as many people as I can. Tips aren't required, but appreciated :). I'll be sitting on a stump in a white dress.
