Had my first full play test of the game I'm developing 'Trollspit' (it's like dice throne but for liars). Got some tough but great feedback. Players liked the feel of the game and overall mechanics and character design but the dungeon crawl aspect felt really forced and uncomfortable (competitive/cooperative mix where you with together but try to bluff each other to gain an advantage).

Ultimately I'm going with a major retool based on the feedback and separating the game into a competitive mode (pvp) and cooperative mode (against a DM).

A lot of work to make the updates and a shift from my original intentions but the mechanics that make the game unique are still there and looking forward

So I've been working on this for a while now and tomorrow will be my first play test with other people so wish me luck. Think a Munchkins/Gloomhaven hybrid meets Bullshit. Marketing blurb below:

Trollspit is a fast, goofy dungeon crawler where you fight monsters, level up, and lie straight to your friends’ faces. You roll in secret, claim whatever number keeps you alive, and everyone else decides if you’re telling the truth or spewing pure Trollspit as the dungeon erupts with bonuses, penalties, and betrayal. Team up to survive the monsters, but lie about it to win. Just remember not to step in the Trollspit on your way!

Each character uses a D20, a deck of 32 cards, and unique mechanics t

Hey all, so the game I'm developing relies heavily on a bluff mechanic using a d20. This is something all players need to be able to do. Is there a simple option that allows the player to see their roll, then be able to reveal it to the table without touching the die?

So I'm getting this for my wife for our anniversary. Should I pre-order it or wait for the release to see if there's a GWP?

Sidenote: I live close to a LEGO store that has never had problems running out of the big release sets.

Clearly we all hate Mantha right now. But who in Penguins history has pissed you off as much as or more than Mantha? Carter? Johnson? Brassard? Simon? Cooke? Thibault?

I personally never hated Carter, I think Sullivan misused him and the contract was too long.

Hate Cooke the most because he's a terrible person.

Simon was the worst though.

Without him we don't make the playoffs. With him, we struggle on the playoffs.

Can we sign him at a discounted rate just for the regular season and scratch him in the playoffs?
