Hi Windsor! I'm a guitarist (and singer) living in the area who's played for 15+ years and looking to meet good people to jam with (and maybe gig if we feel like it). I'm mostly looking just to have some fun doing something I love.

My musical styles/tastes are wide (pretty much anything but heavy metal) but here's a sample of some bands I'm into:

The Barr Brothers Joel Plaskett The Strokes The Beatles Punch Brothers Bahamas Leif Vollebeck Hey Rosetta / Tim Baker Head and the Heart Lord Huron Phil Cook Lake Street Dive Fruition Luke Doucet The Lone Bellow Radiohead

If you think we'd get along and would like to jam...hit me up!!

Current situation unfolding - my son wasn't getting ready for school this morning (I was already at work) and my wife, after many attempts, decided to leave him home alone. He is 6.5 years old.

She just told me and my reaction was "absolutely not, this is not safe. I'm going to go home and drag him to school." She lost it on me saying its not my decision and he'll be fine. She'll go check on him at lunch. She said I'm raising babies and that she was doing groceries for her mom on her own when she was 10. I said, 10 is not the same as 6 or 7...and this is emotional neglect.

Am I over reacting??

Hey everyone!

I just released my first ever song to streaming sites, The Follower, and I’d love your feedback! It’s a mix of indie / alternative / and not sure what else…you tell me!

🎧 Listen here: The Follower on Spotify

A bit about the track:

👉 Inspiration: I wrote the song during the pandemic lockdowns right after my first son was born. It was a tough time for a whole whack of reasons and music was an outlet for me to stay sane. I think the message in the is actually even more meaningful today than it was 5 years ago.

👉 Creative Process: I was working on this over a few evenings after my son

There is a question on the form as follows:

"Was this treatment required due to a condition which arose outside Ontario that was acute, unexpected and required immediate medical treatment?" Answer: Yes/No

Our context is our 3 year old was in the Windsor hospital for 3 days and had gone undiagnosed, his skin was blistering all over his body and getting worse with fever and him not eating. Things were going downhill very fast and not only was there NO doctor in the Peds ward on the Sunday we were there, they were just throwing all kinds of antibiotics at him to see if anything worked. Fortunately, a 15 minute drive across the Detroit river is the Detroit Children's Hospital, a world class f

I'm planning to put 12 x 24" tile in my bathroom and am concerned about the weight of the tile causing them to "sink" or drift downward with gravity. Is this a real concern, and if so, how should I go about preventing it (e.g., set one row of tile at a time and allow to set, certain type of compound, etc.)? Thanks! New to this!!

I have a Group RRSP through my work at Desjardins and I self manage my RRSP & TFSA accounts through QTrade. I'm looking for a planner or advisor to talk with to help me better plan for retirement and setup a strategy to follow. I've reached out to a few in the town I live in and they won't talk to me because I don't have accounts with their FI (and my Group Plan doesn't offer an advisor, just self serve webinars, etc.). Are there options I can look to or am I basically on my own? Thanks!!

Context: family of four, wife and I (40 & 38) take home about $250k gross, in the next 2 years we’ll be maxing out our TFSAs, RRSPs, and kid’s RESPs. Owe about $170k on the mortgage at 4.84%. Don’t really have an emergency fund. I’ve been reading across this sub on what to do and I don’t see a lot of “invest in real estate” options being promoted. There are condos going up in the small SW Ontario town where I live and was considering investing. What are the pros and cons and what would you advise as alternatives? Much appreciated and apologies if this has been asked and answered already!!

Context: we purchased these barn doors to cover a 62" wide doorway opening. We really liked the doors, but they are too tall to install with the barn door rail hardware. They are MDF solid core with a vinyl wrap. Can I cut ~4" off the top without damaging the door? If so, what type of blade should I use? Thanks!!

Thanks in advance for any recommendations!

We’re planning to visit Düsseldorf in mid April and are looking for recommendations for things to do in or near the area. “Near” can include train travel to other cities or nearby countries as we’ll be there for about 2 weeks. We have 2 kids ages 4 & 6 and are looking for age appropriate things to do and see.

Thank you!!
